Sheesh. Old people planet is pretty sensitive today.

This is just a shot in the dark, but maybe they’re just paranoid about growing old.

Or more accurately, growing OLDER. My surgically repaired knee pretty much declared war on me when that goddamn cold front blew through yesterday. Good thing I'm not famous and married to a moneygrubbing twat, or there might well have been a camera crew filming me hobbling around and nearly falling over when I tried to put my pants on. I'm sure the trailer park crowd would have found it to be quite amusing.

Got to see Ozzy in concert in 1992. His "No More Tours Tour" in Lampe, MO. Craziest event I have attended in my life. Just utter insanity in that crowd. A stampede to get in that I thought could actually end my life. And some dude in the middle of it was lighting bottle rockets, dropping them at his feet, and having them fire off in random directions. But we were all so smashed together that none of the people who wanted to kill him could get through to him. After we got in and found our seats some woman who was walking by grabbed my crotch randomly. Once Ozzy took stage the place went apeshit. People were climbing up on a very high outdoor stage, and getting just thrown off head-first by bouncers left and right. Ambulances pulling in and out all evening. I was 18 and had never seen anything like it.

Fun fact: Alice in Chains who I had never heard before opened for him and their singer was in a wheel chair with a broken foot. I bought their album the next day.

Oh yeah, the entry doors were off the hinges and I felt the mob push for the first and thank God the only time in my life. That shit was scary.

Nothing better than having old injuries flaring up every time the weather changes. I broke my collarbone twice as a kid back around the time Bill Kenney and Todd Blackledge were fighting for the starting spot, and I can still feel it in my shoulder when the weather is about to change.

This is a recent injury, and the first serious injury I'd suffered in my life, so this is all still new to me. I'd felt weather changes before, but that going from 80 on Saturday to 40 on Sunday just kicked the shit out of me and I was completely unprepared for it.

Better to be bald and still have a functional brain.

I seem to recall him being in a commercial recently and he looked like shit. I also watched a movie on Netflix last night that had Helen Hunt in it. Her face looked like an amateur taxidermist practiced how to stretch skin over a skull for the first time ever. At least Ozzy looks better than she does.

He's in some recent commercial and I can't remember what it's about but he basically says I've done my share of bad things and your share too.

Otter 04-17-2023 02:11 PM

Not trying to sound like a dick but how are we not surprised he made it this far?

Otter 04-17-2023 02:12 PM

Didn't this guy snort ants?

ChiefaRoo 04-17-2023 02:21 PM

He looks pretty lean and vascular with a full head of hair. Looks pretty good actually. That’s a terrible photo. No doubt he’s got brain/neuro issues.

kysirsoze 04-17-2023 02:59 PM

Impossible to tell how he's doing based on tabloid photos. That said, he seems to be walking unassisted. As has been said, considering age, lifestyle and parkinson's, I had expected a lot worse.
