Never played it, but that wasn't the reason. I hated Madden for a long time too, but I got over that a long time ago. There's a clip that shows Madden saying that he would shake Lamar Hunt's hand every time he saw him and tell hiim thank you for starting the AFL.

Don't forget. Before Andy, the Chiefs had never won the AFC West in back to back years. I didn't realize it until Andy did it and they said that it was the first time. I was sure that Schottenheimer had done it. But he would win it about every other year.

Lester Hayes may be the worst of the lot, mostly because he was just so gross. Even without the stickum it seemed like he was coated in a layer of grease.

Not really. Minnesota has been consistent (for a NFL team) since the merger.

GB was a frozen outpost of losing from 1970 until Favre in the mid 1990s.

The AFC west is surprisingly competitive. I would have expected Denver to have far and away the most.

And geez, how bad have the Chiefs been if they have been on this terribly dominant streak and still aren't in first place?
