It's been a while since we've seen the Chiefs just line up and destroy a terrible football team. It was good to see a game over at the half instead of playing down to inferior competition.
The officiating has got to be reined in here. The call on Taylor that pulled 7 off the board was absolute horseshit. I'm not sure what is going on, and with Andy pulling him from the game it sends the message that Taylor is being punished, and is repeatedly making a dumbass error every time that happens, but to my eye Taylor was fine today. It was nice to see the pedal kept down all first half, instead of going into 4 minute offense with an entire half of football yet to play. It was odd to see folks complaining we were still going for the throat while up big on the scoreboard. It was nice to see things clicking, but hard to flex on kicking the quadruple amputee out of his wheelchair and stomping his mouth. The Bears allowing Eberflus to run this unmitigated disaster of a team has to be a crime on the lawbooks somewhere against the fans of Chicago Sports. Spags has this unit firing on all cylinders, you wouldn't have even known Bolton was missing. This was the perfect opportunity to come out against a floundering tram and shit the bed against the run and get gashed, but that didn't happen. Outside of two passes today, one dropped, Bears receivers were blanketed and Fields didn't know whether to shit or wind his watch. I expect a similar destruction of the New York Jets next week. If these guys trot Zack Wilson out against Spags & Co. it's not gonna be a great day for them. |
Don’t know if everyone heard Reid and mahomes’ presser talking about jawaan Taylor
Reid never comments on this stuff and he’s fed up with the officiating. Mahomes said he’s reviewed the tablets and he’s lining up like everyone else in the league. Reid usually says a player needs to work on things, but when he’s adamant he’s doing it right, that speaks volumes They’re going to be hella vocal about this in the coming week. |
Second week in a row on 3rd and 1, Andy Reid lined up and let Pacheco run it up the gut behind the best interior O line in the NFL. Nothing cute or tricky.

Hated to see injuries happening in a blowout. Also wish the Chiefs offense was able to get more quality reps, but it’s hard to do that when the game is basically over by halftime.

I saw Andy's post game presser. He indicated that he didn't think that the penalty was right. He probably went far enough that he'll get fined by the league for criticizing the shitty refs

The Rice drops were a bit of bummer, because he needs to get that fixed. On the plus side the 2 nearly TDs he had looked a perfect example of how he can replace the JJSS role, but with added YAC. He looks like he has a feel for the underneath stuff. Really promising.
Also good that they're pushing back on the refs. Yes it's kinda annoying Taylor is not being super cautious, but the calls are pure BS. Aside from that this Bears team is so bad it's hard to draw many conclusions. A lot of teams are going to absolutely smash them like this. |

I like his development just fine. |
Pacheco is learning to block much better as well. He is turning into one of our greatest low round picks ever.
Rice has great potential but he caused Gabbert's 2nd INT Taylor needs to not test the refs because it ain't working. Line up tight and do your best to block. They showed a few tackles WAY OFF the line from other teams and of course no penalties. The Dallas Cowboys LT was lining up a YARD off the line multiple times. CEH either has a 7-8 yard run or 5 runs of 1 yard. He is just too slow and not explosive enough with not great field vision and not enough speed to cut back. When he goes side to side he NEVER gains yards. Our depth is impressive as hell and the way we are using so many players on D to rest guys is impressive. Spags got this D humming. Karlaftis has made a HUGE leap forward and even Chenal had a bull rush late in the game and steamrolled the **** out of the Oline guy. Just took a bad angle to Fields. Danna is all over the field. We did all this without Bolton and another top rated guy still suspended. Our tackling was EXCELLENT! Drops by WR declining but still some to clean up. No stupid play calls by Reid except the one throw back to Mahomes. Great game against a shit team. Finally a breather. |
Pacheco's vision is way better than it was last year.

I didn’t see any of the game but I’m still rocking my big ol Rice chubby!
