**** the Jets
**** Colinsworth I don't know who that as in the Zach Wilson costume, but he played well. Mahomes is ****ing good. Even when he's really bad. I love Mahomes. I think the defense played better than they get credit for. It's not like they were just ****ing blowing coverages out there. Some of those plays were just damn well executed by the Jets. I was really impressed with most of the coverages most of the night. Moreover, there was some really great tackling in the open field. Hall and Wilson got loose in the open field, and our guys got them stopped. Also I think we really missed Bolton. Tranquil is adequate, but the defense certainly feeds off Boltons energy. I think that's part of the reason why the defense seemed to fade. I think the real momentum killer was the safety. We obviously got ****ed on the call, nobody ever calls anything in the end zone, but we get a call outside the endzone for a safety because apparently Taylor ****ed ALL THE REFS WIVES....AND DAUGHTERS, apparently. But whatever. We have to overcome. I will note that I'm glad Reid didn't melt down on his much shittier call like Saleh did over his much less shitty call - after the game was over. |
I wouldn’t be surprised to find out something shady was going on tonight. No way in hell Zack Wilson is capable of playing the way he did tonight when he hasn’t been that locked in before yet. I’ll happily eat crow if he ends up performing that well in future games, but something strikes me as they didn’t turn off the communication mikes or something during the plays.

I think KC got up 17 early and hit cruise. Once you do that it can be tough to pull out of it.
The bullshit safety, and then the bullshit phantom horse collar got NY believing. Mahomes got in a funk there in the second and third quarters, the picks were terrible throws- and there were several open receivers that he just flat didn't look at. Whether he'd settled earlier in progression of reads on a target or whatever, I don't know. I can tell you that the wheel route to the back in the left flat was open with no defender within 20 yards on at least three plays where he forced the ball elsewhere. But those of you who thought the Jets are The Bears were way off base. That's an excellent defense and they were a QB away from seriously contending. Wilson picking last night to drop dimes...hey, tip your cap. Our young receivers need to play better, no question, but they will. Just as Mahomes doesn't have many games like that. We're 3-1 and finding different ways to win each week. How about Pacheco!? |

The Jets record is what it is but they did hang Buffalo’s only L. That was a quality win on the road against a good defense - a game they were clearly up for in prime time.

Went to bed at 17-2. Dominating performance, huge statement game, no worries at all.

WR group needs improvement, OL struggled a bit. Offense went into a coma and barely revived in time to save the win. Pacheko looked good however even on the long run, he had to avoid a defender that was in the backfield.
So far, Nagy has not impressed me. |
