Why Not? 10-29-2023 07:58 AM

I was in Vegas when I got the news about Yordano. Remember that really well.

Thurman Munson. My stepdad woke me up at 1am to give me the news. Felt it all over again the next morning.

John Goodman’s really shocked me, every time I heard it.

Same for me, and celebrity deaths never have that impact on me. I think a combination of him being fairly young, the unexpected nature, and having grown up on Soundgarden. A supremely talented guy, RIP Chris.

Judith Barsi

She was a child actor who was most known as Ducky from The Land Before Time and the main girl in All Dogs Go To Heaven. She was a successful child actress and at 10 her dad went crazy and killed her, her mother and then himself.

Really sad

Lots of good ones.

I’ll throw in Anthony Bourdain. He was so positive and well adjusted in his public life. I was really shocked.

Any time suicide ruins a good life is terrible.

John Bulishi. I was a young teenager and my brother just passed away. Life felt more fragile then ever and it was confusing how the good ones were just not going to be part of life anymore.

Derrick Thomas.. Elvis when I was little..

Sure-Oz 10-29-2023 10:21 AM

Derrick Thomas, Anthony Bourdain, Chester Bennington, Paul Walker, Kobe, Chris Farley, Robin Williams, Chadwick Boseman, Jim Henson, Heath Ledger, and Carrie Fisher bummed me out. I'm sure there are others but can't remember.

Mr Hooper from Sesame Street. That shit had little me very confused, even after Big Bird explained it.

Yeah, that’s the one that got me. He seemed like such a cool dude.

Derrick Thomas was brutal too. Especially since he was on his way to a ****ing Rams playoff game of all things when it happened.

How is Paul Walker different from Betty White?

Paul Walker made it to 100 before he died.
