The moment Skyy has a game half as good as MVS had in the Bengals game, I'll listen.

And MVS at least does the little shit (he's always getting dap from teammates and coaches for running hard/good pick routes and/or strong blocking downfield) consistently whereas Moore seems lost in space on half his snaps.

I think Moore has a higher ceiling and greater upside, but the snaps where he appears to have never played football before are a real issue.

This.

Ya'll slob Frank ****ing Clark's knob for only showing up in the playoffs. So given how huge the AFCC game was last year, why aren't you doing the same with MVS?

I just want to know what the line is. Is it because MVS dropped the important catch? So what if instead of having his screw-up on full display in a crucial situation he were just invisible like Frank always was in the regular season? Would he be getting the same treatment then?

They can see a clear out with MVS and he won't be a Chief next year.

Frank was under contract so that had to be justified.

What about that last weird restructure/whatever the crap Veach did to his contract to allow him to stick around for another year? He should have been cut, but we were too afraid to run out a DL with Danna/Dunlap.

Veach did the contract thingy and everybody celebrated. When a handful of us said it was bad, we got nothing but, "PLAYOFF FRANK!!!!!" comments.

Had we paid Clark a middle class contract and never given up draft capital to acquire him (and he didn't have a rabid following of ball washers 'round here) I'd have never said much about him. Give him an Okafor deal and it would've been wine and roses for me.

Meanwhile MVS is being compared to a guy who "has looked great the last few weeks" because he had 3 catches for 34 yards. Nevermind the fact that "MVS sets up his teammates on catches and blocks well" is a HELL of a lot more accurate than Frank Clark: Elite Edge Setter ever was.

One game actually DID make the MVS contract worthwhile. Because it wasn't much of a contract and we didn't give up draft picks for him.

Matt Lane said something stupid on Twitter and despite all efforts at informing the ballwashers otherwise, there was simply no saving them.

"It costs the same to keep him as it would have to cut him" was just so hilariously stupid and they just. kept. saying. it.

Skyy Moore has never done shit.

I have no problem overall with the MVS signing simply for that reason. Same reason I always defended Frank Clark, he showed up when it mattered and helped us win Super Bowls. MVS did the same thing.

If he never makes another meaningful play, I still won't have any issue paying him what they did. I just prefer he stop sucking shit this year at some point.

💯
Even if I don’t see his future here I hope he’ll be respected on the way out. Between him and skyy, these are good guys who do all the right things. They just lack certain talents. It’s not their fault if they see the field when they shouldn’t. No reason to be mad at these guys when it wasn’t their decision to be given such high usage.

And who knows… maybe he has a few clutch games like that still in his hat. Maybe he’s one of those weird guys like Sorensen that just show up when the lights get really big

BWillie 11-28-2023 03:04 PM

He is not

FloridaMan88 11-28-2023 03:05 PM

Hopefully neither will be on the Chiefs roster next season.

Mvs is a very different WR. He’s definitely a clear out option but it’s hard to be valuable when your number gets called a few times a game. I never understood why a clear out option had to be a boom bust guy. Of course a speed options bread and butter will be deep routes, but we can’t find a guy who’s fast and at least remotely effective with short/intermediate stuff too?

It’s been pointed out that Andy likes his WRs to wear many hats. In the future we need to have more guys with versatility versus having specialists who do only one thing well (even worse when they don’t do the one thing they were supposed to specialize in).

I'm not playing this revisionist history bull shit. DRob was playing in 60-70% of snaps for a 4 year period and never eclipsed 466 yds or 45 receptions. DRob was a really shit WR and I'd take MVS over him all day every day.

DRob had damn near 700 snaps in 2021, but was only targeted 41 times. DRob sucked and Skyy Moore will end up being more productive in his second year than DRob ever was and contrary to the thread title Moore is worse than MVS and probably the shittiest WR on the active roster atm. DRob would be the worst WR on this team if he played here this year.

Well shit. If BWillie comes to the same conclusion that I do, then I'm more than likely wrong.

HemiEd 11-28-2023 03:33 PM

I miss JuJu Smith Schuster the most. He could catch the ball and make plays.

I was very confident Skyy Moore was going to be the man this year, but that confidence is fading.

I had an old Packer fan friend tell me about MVS when the Chiefs got him, "faster than hell but can't catch shit, good luck."

Balto 11-28-2023 03:48 PM

We need MVS to carry a little person on his shoulders to catch for him. Or maybe Moore can ride on him.

Yep Im always wrong. Thats why Im undefeated in CP bets. Also told everyone before the season started that every WR is dogshit wirh the exception of possibly Rice...and James who hasn't really got a shot yet.
