Wow Veach unloaded the cap for the man. He paid him what he wanted.

I fully expect a Mahomes restructure tomorrow and a Sneed trade soon. Need to crush this next draft to offset this contract.

LET'S ****ING GO

Chris and Brett you absolute legends

Love it! I know some are concerned about the cap hit and the long term viability, but Jones is a game-wrecking defensive player who was the 2nd most valuable player on 3 title teams and will undoubtedly be a key factor on more to come.

That long of a deal hopefully the cap hit year one is a finger prick so we can go hard after the 3 peat.

Well ….shit. Good news I guess. He’s a great player and I’m glad he’s staying. Where’s all the salary cap experts??? Did we just F ourselves? Any money left for Sneed or a WR?

HOLY SHIT! I'm not sure how to process this. A 5 year deal wasn't even on my radar. So much guaranteed. Is this a good idea? Gonna choose to believe yes.

As long as he keeps making his huge impact in the playoffs, I'd say so.

5-95 is probably a 4 year deal with a big 5 year payout to put him above AD in Annual Average Comp. This will work. LFG!

Awesome- he’s the closest thing I’ve ever seen to Reggie White

3 years 95. So they're married for 3 years.

mnchiefsguy 03-09-2024 09:56 PM

Holy Shit!

5 years should give Veach the spread out the signing bonus....With the cap increasing 30 million a year, this could turn out to be a very reasonable deal by the end.
