I will do today what others won't so I can do tomorrow what others can't.
Working hard without thinking only makes you tired and broke.
If it is to be, its up to me.

I hope education hasn't fallen to that depth. I always strove to read the most books in first and second grade. I always wanted to win the math races in front of the classroom. I always wanted to finish at the top of any art or music competition. I wanted the high score on the California Achievement Test. I wanted the best score on the ACT. That's the only thing I knew as a student.

Just don't ace the ASVABs. They will never stop calling.

My manual dexterity was total shit, so I failed at a lot of things related to that.

Good lord. Correct and understated.

When a parent or loved one dies, nobody ever says "I wish I had had more political arguments with him/her." Nor do they say "I wish hadn't told them I loved them so often."

1. Don't send an email, text or response in anger. Rarely the correct answer and usually works against you.
2. Save money and invest, save money and invest, save money and invest. Your retirement will be here before you know it and it won't be good without money.
3. Moderation is usually a good decision.
4. Don't stay in a job you hate.
5. Don't marry for companionship or fear of being alone.
6. Be a parent, not your kids "best friends." They have kids their own age for that.
7. Stop and smell the flowers along the way. If you keep waiting for the perfect opportunity to do something, it may never arrive.
8. Don't let the perfect stop you from the good.
9. Learn from your mistakes or you will prove you are an idiot over and over. We ALL makes mistakes, just don't repeat them or worse yet, make a fatal one you can't overcome.
10. Take care of you and your health FIRST. It gets exponentially harder every decade that passes and then every few years in your 60s and beyond.
11. You can't take it all with you. The coffin is only so big. Stop collecting shit you don't really need.
12. Be nice to everyone; the mailman, the garbage collector, hotel maids, your plumber, the landscaper. It really works well.
13. Give some of your time or money to help someone. Great feeling and people really do appreciate it.
14. Take your time and do things right the first time. Haste does make waste.
15. Never settle. Do what makes you happy as you got just one life to live.
16. Don't hold grudges or be bitter. Just a big waste of time, energy and mental stress.
17. Do something special for yourself from tome to time. A day at a spa, mini road trip, an extravagant purchase.
18. Cars, boats and RVs are money pits
Don't waste too much or any money on them.
19. Debt is bad. Less of it is better
20. Travel the World. It opens you up to new cultures, people and ideas. It absolutely reduces prejudices in nearly all cases.

BONUS: Never, ever doubt Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs.

My dad always said when I was or on the verge of ****ing up, "What goes around, comes around". Which is loosely translated today to "**** around and find out".

Don't beat up little kids unless their dad is smaller than you.
