Short answer is yes

Long answer is these games literally mean nothing to this franchise right now and you can see it in how the players are approaching and playing the games. Why anybody would spend all of their time bitching and moaning about a 11-1 team coming off two SBs because they aren’t winning by a certain amount of points in that context is beyond my comprehension

It's natural that people want the team to play at a higher level. The games are pretty frustrating to watch. But it's also true the regular season games are not the end of the world. Every year it seems like the team plays at a much higher level in the Playoffs. We'll see if they can do that again this year.

Sure, until they didn’t. And all other fans of teams who have complained about these things didn’t win the Super Bowl.

The sample size is small, guys.

But the point is, even if we don’t win it all, we’re insanely fortunate. Enjoy the ride however it ends. But also don’t be beholden to a sample size of a recent 2 above all else.

But your demeanor in the GDT eggs people on. So please don’t pretend to be above it all after the fact.

But I am above it all, if by it all you mean crying about Mahomes missing a few meaningless throws in November.

I simply cannot fathom bitching about the guy who brought us this kind of success

But you can bitch about everything else despite an 11-1 season as if every team doesn’t have some holes. Gotcha.

I’d love it if the Chiefs destroyed every team in their way in the regular season, sure

That has never been our way in this era though so it’s puzzling that some haven’t gotten used to it yet

What have I bitched about? The LT who is getting replaced next week who nearly got Mahomes killed again? Got me there

Damn straight

KC_Connection 11-29-2024 07:11 PM

We didn’t come close to leading the league in point differential in any of our SB years

I’m pretty sure either the Bills or Ravens were far better in that regard in each of those years

It literally makes no difference at all how much we beat the ****ing Panthers and Raiders by in November

Completely agree. I see people losing their minds over a single play during a game.

After KC won 3 of the last 5 Super Bowls...something I never even dreamed of as a long-suffering fan absolutely nothing can shake me. This is more than I ever could have hoped for in my lifetime. Of course, I want us to keep winning and get that three-peat to solidify Pat as the GOAT. But honestly, everything from here on out is just gravy.

We’re the luckiest fan base in the NFL right now, and to think otherwise is completely missing the bigger picture. Let’s enjoy this era while it lasts.

I don't think fans ever get used to that. Human nature to want a low stress experience in the 4th quarter instead of crossing your fingers and hoping to squeak out a close victory in the final minutes.

MMXcalibur 11-29-2024 07:14 PM

I find the inverse more annoying. Folks process game-day emotions differently.

Stop gatekeeping.

There is a difference between constructive criticism (or whatever you’d call it since no one on the Chiefs will ever read this shit), but that’s not what I’m talking about. Many (not a majority but plenty) have turned into spoiled bitch princesses. I swear if the Chiefs win the Super Bowl 17-13, you’re gonna get a bunch of people on here saying:

“This feels like a loss”

Sack up, chumps.

No screaming sheet. Great comment.

Sometimes I go back and read what I post on GDTs and I think "what in the actual ****?!?"

But for me -- and I'm sure I'm not the only one -- it's a means of stress relief. I don't mean 9/10 of the shit I type (hell, I don't even know 75% of what I type), but it keeps me from kicking dog or breaking my television so I'm good. Just ignore my shit.
