Wasn’t McKinnon a broke dick before the Chiefs too?

Maybe the lighter workload helped.

Sassy Squatch 03-10-2025 10:40 AM

I mean, goddamn. He's suited up for 27 games in 4 years. Total. And a significant chunk of those are from his rookie season.

At that money, its a solid roll of the dice.

Really the same can be said about all 49ers running backs, though. Every one of them is hurt all the time. Seems like they are starting some 4th option most games. Maybe this guy can escape that with us like Jerrick McKinnon did.

MahomesMagic 03-10-2025 10:41 AM

Gross.

Always hated him at 49ers, thought Shanny used him too much.

No vision.

ChiliConCarnage 03-10-2025 10:41 AM

The guy who is always hurt? Ok.

So was McKinnon. Again he’s not a lead back. He’s insurance. The long term solution will be from the draft. He’s a rotational player here.

Is this the going market on rotational backs who are frequently injured?

Perhaps, but he's only ran the ball 327 times in his whole career. Not exactly beating him into the ground there.

Perine won't be on the roster next season

lol that is pretty important.

Looking at who was available not sure I see anyone really intriguing so hopefully our training staff will keep him healthy. 49ers always had a ton of injuries so makes me wonder about their staff. Time will tell I guess.

MahomesMagic 03-10-2025 10:43 AM

I don't get what happened with Perine.

Rather have him. But he never seemed to fit in the locker room.

BWillie 03-10-2025 10:43 AM

I don't get this one

Yeah, that season ending hamstring injury seems like piss poor management. He exacerbated it way worse after the initial injury from what I've read so maybe they pushed him back too quickly.

Yeah, he should have been used like McKinnon was in the passing game. He wasn't fast or elusive but had great smarts and was in the right place at the right time. Good football IQ.

Titty Meat 03-10-2025 10:45 AM

Perrine and Hunt will both be gone. Pacheco, Rookie, Mitchell is a decent RB room
