I know if I was a MOD, I wouldn't want everyone who doesn't like what someone says or what another MOD does, pulling me into it, semding smokes/emails........ Hell if your not adault enough to handle your bussiness I would suggest you find another place to post......... Thought about this one most of the morning. I can see where this is coming from based upon some of the major stuff that has happened. But to say "ALL DISPUTES" will be moved and people warned/banned? Where exactly is the line going to be drawn? There aren't very many posts on the planet where there is not some disputing with ideas. Whenever people interact with each other you are going to have disagreements. If they continue to discourse on that stubject, it could be defined by some as a dispute.

There is a need for Moderation - people do get carried away and cross lines. Problem is though, it is a fine line that can turn into censorship if one is not carefull. Not sure but I have gathered from what I've read, wasn't one of the reasons the Planet was created to give people a place where there weren't all the rules and restrictions that the Star BB was placing on them?

I love the Planet and the Mods do a great job. I just see a red flag with such a policy going into place.

I'm not saying everyone has to think alike, or even that all people need to agree or "get along".

See, there's this little thing we created called the IGNORE function, and I'm suggesting that people use it.

But let me spell it out a little bit better so that people can understand what I'm talking about:

I've gotten SEVERAL private messages over the past few weeks asking me to INTERCEDE on the part of a user because they can't get along with other MODS.

I won't do this.

I've seen SEVERAL instances in the past few days where certain people, who are for very good reasons are unpopular, have had RELEVANT threads hijacked.

If you don't like what someone else is saying, put them on IGNORE or leave them alone. It's that simple.

And if you're having trouble with one of us mods, you better realize that there's a VERY GOOD reason, because the mods here are more than fair for all of the shit they put up with.

This is not a POLICY. This is, as it always has been, at mine (or Phobia's, or Luz') discretion.

I just wanted to give everyone fair warning that I'm fed up with the bullshit.

This is not about disagreements, this is about PERSONAL arguments that people need to settle off of this board.

I don't care if my "family" sees political discussions, nudie threads, or whatever on here. That IS what makes this place interesting.

Also there is the ignore button. It's just that simple.
