I'm not disagreeing with anything in this thread really, but I did want to throw in the fact that (up until the last two games apparently), DV did help built an elite offense with nothing more than what most fans would consider a bunch of castoffs from other teams... Green was a rehab project, nobody thought highly of Priest, Roaf was supposed to be injured and on the downside of his career, Kennison quit on his previous team, Waters was a fullback, Tait was a failed right tackle, Dante Hall was supposedly too small and not quick enough, Boerigter was some small college guy from the CFL... the only two people on this offense that were still considered top caliber players were Gonzo and Shields, and somehow the coaching staff turned that into an offense that everyone expects greatness from. It's funny really, almost every single draft pick and FA we've brought in that people think highly of due to previous performance hasn't been as all-world as the guys who nobody expected anything from....

This concerns me as well. When Carolina comes in without their #1 widout, #1 RB, and 3 new O-linemen.... and kicks the crap out of our defense.... it just ain't good!
