Had to google that. Wonder if a person can smoke it:hmmm:

The summer before my boy went Marines, he was doing all sorts of protein powders and whey stuff and generally weird crap. As far as milk, he just drank Almond milk. Must be high protein or fiber or something. But anyways, when he left, he still had a carton in the fridge. Me being a tight ass didn't want to throw it away, so I tried to drink it. Drank the bigger part of 1 glass. That was enough :shake:

When I googled it, it mentioned Dr. Oz is pumping it, so I bet more people are at least trying it than you would think. But I dunno?

I like it for smoothies, and it's got some benefits over cow milk. But yeah, you need to add protein powder to keep that on balance.

This.. We used to have it rather frequently on the submarine (it freezes well), and a Navy lobster is an overgrown prawn, so I usually skipped it. I was more than happy to eat a can of tuna fish and let one of the other fawn over the lobster.

It's in a smoothie so I'm not sure I can say I "like" it, it's just better for you (or I like to think it is...), so I do it.

I don't get the hype. When we were up in Maine I even tried the super fresh kind where they just pulled it out of the sea and cooked it in front of you. I kinda felt bad for the fella, being boiled to death while screaming.

That HAS to be healthy because it looks terrible

But I am getting to the age I really need to start thinking more healthy. But doing my growing up on the farm meat, potato, veggie is pretty much how my brain is wired.

Well the Vitamix is a must... But yeah, at 33 (with 20 years of experience), I've got to do something to keep up with the kids on my hockey team, and the smoothies do their part to help. Smoothies and Vodka...

But seriously, the Vitamix is pure awesome...

Supposed to be very healthy but has a funny taste. An aftertaste.

Crab is delicious. Dip it in a little butter and I could eat 10 lbs of that shit. If its hard to get the meat out then its not cooked right or you havent eaten enough crab to know how to crack the shells. It's not hard to pull out the meat in a crab leg in a single piece.

Salt or sugar cured ham are great. The crap they sell now has so much salt water pumped it it the had to reclassify it as a ham and water product, like Velveeta.

Quote:

Ham with Natural Juices: The product is at least 18.5% protein (which means a lower percent water, typically no added water.) Ham and Water Product X% of Weight is Added Ingredients: This product contains more additives than a “Ham Water Added”, but the product name must indicate percent of” added ingredients.”
I go to a corner market that has a tasting bar in the basement. People freak out when the realize the ham is not refrigerated.

Ham undoubtedly is overrated, I hate it. Also honorable mention to Turkey, not that Turkey is bad but you always get Turkey on Thanksgiving and Christmas when I'd much prefer a prime rib or nice steak.

Ramen noodles. Don’t understand how this is a thing. It used to just be the cheap packages from the store, but now there are way too many Ramen restaurants around. Are people actually enjoying these places, or is the whole country just broke and settling like college students?

A meatball is a round meatloaf to me. My mom's and my own meatloaf is an Italian meatloaf which also gets covered in tomato sauce. No ketchup in our family's recipe. Yuck!

I think it's part of a mental block or something, but meatloaf and spaghetti are in the same category for me. If I'm drunk, I can eat them. Otherwise, if one or the other are what's for supper, I just make a sandwich with some chips or something.

I can't explain why I don't care for them, I just don't

Really? Man I wish I didn't like them. I need to back away from the carbs, gettin older and starting to put a few pounds on, but stuff like cheesy potatoes won't allow it :(

And that brings up another topic. 20 yrs ago, I could eat a whole cow and not gain an ounce, now if I look at a cheeseburger, I've got to loosen the belt.

Love me some ramen, but what's being served in the restaurants hardly resembles the packaged ramen from college. My favorite usually consists of pork broth with pork belly, soft boiled egg, roasted garlic cloves, mushrooms, and a variety of other things. But there's several different varieties based on regions like any other food.

What I don't understand is how people eat it during the hot summer months. It's a great winter food, imo.

BucEyedPea 02-12-2018 10:42 AM

To be honest, I can get tired of any food, if I eat it too often. Never thought I'd tire of Mexican but I OD and now I consider it overrated. Tho' my enjoyment of it, will probably come back once I get tired of Greek, which I am currently eating more often again. Then I'll get sick of that. I just get bored and like something different.

How about funeral potatoes?

Cheesy hash browned potatoes with onion and sour cream, with bread crumbs on top.

Great potluck side

My kid eats Nutella on everything, **** Nutella
Ranch Dressing can kiss my ass
Any jarred Pasta sauce (not terrible but definitely over rated)
Whole grain bread
Any meal ever eaten at a chain Japanese steakhouse

She's a worthless piece of trash. Find me one person who has ever enjoyed a single thing she has ever had to 'contribute' here. Just one, like when God offered to spare Sodom. Find one person who's ever read one of her useless posts and said 'good point gutter slut.'

I used to hate Ranch, one of barely a handful of foods I truly dislike. But either ranch got better, or my tastebuds mellowed. I still don't seek it out, but I don't actively recoil in disgust. Ranch chips [potato or tortilla] are still pretty nasty.

Chipotle Ranch on a Southwest-type salad isn't bad either.
