He made the throws and reads last year. Their staff isn’t good. His oc from last year was way better. NFL is a weird place. They will be good next year if their free is any good

Carr can be an excellent system QB, but he's not going to transcend your Offense to a new level like an actual elite QB.

He does look like shit this year compared to last, but that whole offense looks out of sync. It seems like every game I see them on the color commentator points out wrong routes being ran, two WR in the same spot, etc. They definitely screwed up going to the new OC with no experience.

The Fade's coaching sucks, but Carr should be in the prime of his career and he's played like chicken shit.

Both Carr and Mariota broke their fibula close to the same time last season. Carr was on fire last year and Mariota was much better than he was this year. Especially running the ball when necessary.

Carr will be in his prime in about two years if the gm is smart.

It's not too late for Carr.. but just because a young QB starts out hot.. doesn't mean he can keep it going. There's no chance that Carr has been "figured" out. He can make every throw required in the NFL and he has done so. The problem at Oakland is the OC is terrible. When a defense knows what's coming at them they can shut it down 10 out of 10 times. That's what's happening to CArr right now. Del Rio sucks.

Next year will be telling. Last year he threw over 20 TD's and only a handful of INT`s.......this year new QB coach and coordinator and the entire offense is off the rails, horrid. Yes, he looks scared in the pocket and his footwork is atrocious. Having said that, they will for sure have a new but seasoned OC for him next year....maybe even DelDummy will be gone too....and we will see what happens.

Carr throws a beautiful deep ball and Crabtree and Cooper (before this year sans Chiefs at home) have made Carr look better than he really is. The O-Line has also covered up some really apparent flaws with footwork and accuracy. Carr is average and he always has been.

He has looked horrendous. So we will see next year which player he actually is. The one this year, or his first two years when he kept improving.

I think Carr is a franchise QB but he needs a better staff. He can lead a team and had proven so. OL was not good this year.

I remember watching him during his rookie year when he would just throw the ball away or straight into the ground every time he was pressured the slightest bit. Their line allowed him to grow more comfortable and he stopped doing it so much in '15-'16, but this year it returned. He won't stand in the pocket and take the hits necessary to make big throws.

What has he proven he could lead a team to? He’s yet to make the playoffs and hasn’t won many big games in his career.

Derek Carr would look much better with a good coach. That is exactly why I would have loved taking him instead of Dee Ford.

Mahomes is so lucky to be where he is. And we are lucky to have both Andy and Nagy here coaching him up.
