I don't think that it should be shoved the the throats of young children, but for high school, yes, I think that teenagers should be taught tolerance. Parents are to judgmental to teach their children. My son is almost four and the only reason he does not like a person is because they are stupid. I am trying to teach him that he does not need to like the person, but he does have to be civil. I also think that there is no problem with condoms being given out at high schools, you know the kids are going to bang anyway. I have only known of a few people that were virgins when they got married. Absence is not something most teenagers practice.

In addition, sexual orientation is not a reason to be uncivil to a person, you should be tolerant, whether you believe they are going to hell or not.

To answer your question, Hell No, I wouldn't let my daughter wear that. I don't think my daughter would wish to wear that, if I had one. She would be well aware that men only want one thing most of the time and it isn't her brains!!

I would be having a chat with a teacher at that point. I do agree that is not right.

I have no problem if we are talking about High School kids...but grade school children are too young and could really care less about adult issues, especially sexual orientation.

I'm not sure i am all that happy about condoms being handed out at school....unless of course you were also teaching abstinence along with safe sex practices. I know I wasn't a virgin when i got married, but my wife was....I really think we could act like abstinence isn't such a bad thing more, instead of acting like it labels you a prude.

They can teach tolerance all they want to, but it probably wont stick unless they see it at home also.

Isn't it amazing that all of this tolerance has been taught for the longest time and there really hasn't been an improvement in relations between specific groups of people? Racism is a perfect example, especially if you listen to the leaders like Jesse Jackson. It hasn't improved, why is that? I am not sure....... But it hasn't improved if you listen to them. But that is just my opinion.
