You need to go ahead & add me to this list TW.

Unless i'm missing something i should know about...

Tribal Warfare 10-07-2007 09:40 PM

All hail Croyle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

DaFace 10-07-2007 09:45 PM

I'm not sure if I can be in this club or not. I'm a fan of putting Croyle in over Huard because I think we need to figure out what he can do before this season's over. However, I haven't yet seen enough of Croyle to say whether or not I'm a fan.

Mr. Arrowhead 10-07-2007 10:05 PM

please sign me up, im been on his fan club since we drafted him

Mr. Arrowhead 10-07-2007 10:18 PM

I dont know what it is about Croyle, but the team seems like they play harder for him than Huard.

Did you see him get us a TD in 3 minutes today when Huard got nothing in 57 minutes?

Croyle is going to make mistakes just like any rookie. I welcome those mistakes as this franchise rebuilds for the next few years.

CROYLE GETS EXCUSES
HUARD GETS THE BLAME

shit...

I bet we still blame Huard even when he's not playing..

THAT'S THE CHIEFSPLANET WAY

CHIEF4EVER 10-08-2007 12:27 AM

Sign me up Tribal Warfare. I am on th bandwagon. Scorp makes a great point. We are rebuilding right now and it makes no sense to play a career backup when we know we aren't going to the playoffs or the SB. Might as well see what we have or don't have in Brodie and let the kid make his mistakes and get them out of his system.

DenverChief 10-08-2007 05:48 AM

Dude I'm totally there...seriously

Easy 6 10-08-2007 06:29 AM

Huard backers can scream "GARBAGE TIME TD" all they want, the fact is Jax was playing like hell trying to preserve the shutout.

kepp 10-08-2007 06:41 AM

Inspector 10-08-2007 07:13 AM

Nothing new to add. The sentiments shared here about why we should go ahead and see what Croyle has are all valid points.

He's going to make mistakes but might as well see if he's the one or if QBOTF is still on the "need to draft" list.

And, well, yeah, his wife too.......

Chiefnj2 10-08-2007 07:31 AM

Croyle should play. I don't think it's going to change much since you need to run the ball and be able to stop the run to win in the NFL.

Comments on Croyle against Jax.
1. Great arm strength and accuracy.
2. He stares down his receiver. Defenders were reading his throws, but he got away with it because of his arm strength.
3. He doesn't have much touch on his balls.

All of that was in a freaking down pour.

Rasputin 10-08-2007 07:45 AM

I've been yelling for Brodie to start since the beginning. I was exited at the game to see Brodie get to play and do what he is going to do a lot of score Touchdowns!!!

Teams do not respect our passing game with Huard and they stack the line to stop LJ & they know we are going to try the playaction but we don't have a running game to scare them so the playaction does not work and basically we suck with our O-line. Croyle can step in and put some zip on the ball and force the other team to respect our pass then our team can start running the ball.

I was at the game, had fun, I cheered for our team and even Huard but they disappointed me so I had to boo them in the 3-4 quarters.

Putting Croyle in would send a message that we are building for a championship and if you want to be apart of it then make plays and do your job, if you don't like it then go away we don't need you.

San Diego wasn't exactly playing that hard at that point in the game.

Like I said, I definitely think he should be starting over Huard. However, better than bad does not equal good.

MahiMike 10-08-2007 08:29 AM

I don't think a change in QB will ever be the answer for a Herm-led team. I predicted Croyle taking over after 2-6 start. However, it's gotta be a good thing to get him as many reps as possible. Just don't expect wins THIS year. Give the guy time to mature. Fans have been wanting to groom a QB for years. But are they ready for what that really means? We'll see.

If croyle locks up on a receiver, we can legitimately chalk that up to his lack of experience. But if a 34 year old veteran does it (like he did all yesterday) there's no excuse. I do like Huard, mind you, but only as a dependable backup.

Good point. Add to that the worsening weather conditions in which Croyle came in and his work yesterday should be properly appreciated. He was by no means perfect, but showed some potentially good stuff.

That's the general feeling of all the planeteers signing up here, I think. I don't think anyone is immature enough to expect miracles from BC. But if we are going nowhere this year, I'd rather do that with Croyle at the helm to hopefully become battle hard for the future.

Over a decade in the league nets you some accountability for sucking. Croyle gets some slack because of his NEWB status.

Tiger's Fan 10-08-2007 09:31 AM

Im in, what do we have to lose?

Son of Logical 10-08-2007 09:44 AM

Where do I sign? Dr. Doom can attest to the fact as soon and Brodie put the ball right on the money to D. Bowe I yelled, "He is officially our starter!" It wasn't really garbage time either, the Jags blitz on practically every play. Brodie showed excellent pocket awareness.

Please, and thank you. I've been wanting Croyle to start from the beginning of time. At least I've been waiting for the Chiefs to develop our own QB from the draft since the Joe Montana experiment failed us at getting a Super Bowl. If Joe 'freaking' Montana couldn't get us a Super Bowl then how the hell do they expect any other cast off QB from other teams that are old and or were back ups for 11 years???

jjchieffan 10-09-2007 07:43 AM

Also, I disagree with that statement. Jacksonville was wanting the shutout...bad. They were not letting up. Croyle did not just get a garbage td.
