Welll there might be alot of tickets for sale after this game....

GoHuge 03-12-2009 12:27 PM

An airball Collins? What the hell? 67-64 26.5 to go Baylor ball.

And Now you show up in the KU thread... So typical... Win something meaningful in my lifetime first...

Is what I said wrong? Are you not embarrassed to lose to Baylor?

Good God, no one is saying your season is over or that you're not a good bball program. Some of you are so sensitive.

How is it typical? I didn't talk shit at all after the collapse against Tech.

Don't be such a homer - this was a bad loss and you guys shouldn't have lost.

Can't believe he had that air ball at the end. He seems like a clutch player.

Reerun_KC 03-12-2009 12:32 PM

Why are all these tools still talking about KU and a 1 seed?

It was never an option...

Que Card QB 03-12-2009 12:32 PM

There's nothing embarrassing about it. I expected this all year from them.

To be honest, no. I figured this loss was possible, and I'm not embarrassed by it at all. KU exceeded my expectations in a huge way this year.

GoHuge 03-12-2009 12:33 PM

Wow that is unbelievable. Tech is one thing but I thought KU was going to come back the entire time. Well that really mixes things up for this tourney. Hope we can get by Texas and have a shot at a revenge game against Baylor. Maybe they'll be worn out by tomorrow.

As a MU fan I am a little pissed about this too. I really wanted a third game between us.

Look at it on the bright side KU fans. Your team will get plenty of rest before the real tourney starts.

Reerun_KC 03-12-2009 12:35 PM

Welll KU cant win them all, We have to share Tourney titles...

Mizzou_8541 03-12-2009 12:35 PM

It's not a big deal. KU will be rested and have more time to prepare for the tourney. Even if you would have won the Big12 tourney, things would have had to fall just right to get a #1 seed.

Wow. I watched the second half. Jesus that was an ugly game. Watching the ESPN updates, sounds like the first half was worse.

2 out of the last 3 games KU hasn't been able to do shit. I hope this isn't a recurring trend.

**** that shit they would have time to rest before the NCAA's begin anyway. Now Kansas will go play the first couple rounds out in BFE

Yup. And like you said earlier in this thread - as Collins goes, so does this KU team. So true. Hopefully, he got that out of his system for awhile.

KC_Connection 03-12-2009 12:39 PM

These games are not at all a good sign for their NCAA aspirations, though. They seem to play down to their competition too much. I suspect they'll end up as a #3 seed after this loss...so let's not lose to a #14 now.

CoMoChief 03-12-2009 12:40 PM

When he's on, they are a top 8 team in the country. When he isn't...they're pretty mediocre. He's been off more than he's been on lately.

No fuggin shit.

You guys think KU will stay at #3? I figured they would drop a lot more. It seems like they put a lot of emphasis on performance in the conf tournament. Maybe I'm wrong.

Nah, probably the lowest is a #3.... Regardless. They will be a dangerous #3/#4 seed in the tourney...

They have the potential to go deep just as easily as to exit on day one...

They were projected to be a #2 going into this thing, so I don't foresee them dropping an entire 2 spots, but who knows. It really doesn't matter that much anyway.

KU needs to get their shit together. They are too good, too talented, and too well coached to play like they have the last three games. Other than my team being in it, this tournament just turned into a golf match without Tiger. I'm just sitting here still shaking my head saying what the hell.....I can't imagine what the KU fans that went all the way down there are thinking. What a long ass drive home.

True, but Collins played like poop. How often does that happen? I hope that is not due to his knee or whatever getting hurt in this game. I guess we can look at the bright side and say that at least he has more time to heal before the NCAA tournament.

I think he still feels that pressure sometimes to do it all. At least against OU, Tyshawn Taylor stepped it up in the first half until Collins got it together. And where was Aldrich in this game? I only watched the 2nd half but it looked like he was pretty quiet.
