Missouri has won as many bowl games as ku has appeared in.

The fact that you've stopped arguing historical stuff and made it based on one season should indicate to you that, perhaps, you have lost.

And yes, I do believe this guy must be about 12 years old. I can't wait until KU plays Nebraska this year.

I may hate ku - and don't get me wrong, my hatred for your school's athletic teams rivals the fiery intensity of a thousand suns - but nothing is more annoying than idiotically homeristic Nebraska fans.

42-21 victory over Minnesota > 30-23 OT victory over Northwestern

How in the world did you come to that conclusion? I get that you struggle, but this is off-the-charts stupid.

Please continue embarassing yourself.

YEs, Mighty Minnesota was better than Northwestern. Minnesoita, which lost to Northwestern at home, which lost its final five games of the season, including a 55-0 drubbing from Iowa in the game before it played ku.

Clearly a better opponent than Northwestern. Are you sure you're not a Nebraska fan?

You seem to think that continuously repeating that will upset me.

You're mistaken. But keep throwing shit against the wall. If you throw enough, eventually something has to stick, right?

The context of the conversation was historical status of the program, in case you've forgotten. Come back when you have something to add to that.

I've never claimed that KU had a better football history than MU before. It would be a battle that I could never win.

What I can claim is that MU's advantage in this area is so insignificant that to bring it up is quite pointless. Both schools have average programs, and neither of them are real powers/big game winners.

But one thing is for sure, one school does have an Orange Bowl this decade.

Um, then why did you try the (inaccurate) two Orange Bowls >>> 0 Orange Bowls smack? As that has a historical context...

Pinkel isn't half the coach Mangino is, in size or ability.

Northwestern was far and away a better team than Minnesota. That's a fact.

QBs are unimportant. Its who has the best ILB in the 3-4 that will win :)

I'm actually gonna go out on a limb here and say NEB has a good chance in winning it.

It looks like I was wrong about Mizzou not going to the Orange Bowl. Another poster said they have 4 OB appearances. I could only find three. The most recent was 39 years ago then 49 years ago and then 69 years ago. They lost all three while only scoring a total of 10 points. No wonder this isn't talked about much.

But they have history!!

buddha 04-21-2009 10:52 PM

How the mighty have fallen. Colorado has the same number of votes as Iowa State.

CU = Rock Bottom.

I hope Hawkins has enjoyed his time in Boulder and killing the CU program by insisting on playing his horrific son at QB.

They won the 1960 Orange Bowl.

That source of mine wasn't very good. I just looked again and it says Mizzou lost to Georgia 14-0.

Well, technically the OB was in 1960, but it was the 59 season. The 60 season, or 61 OB, Mizzou won 21-14 vs Navy. Apparently.

There are still cave drawings that depict the win.

Bambi 04-22-2009 09:04 PM

Sorry, can't see how you can pick against KU this year in football.

I mean seriously, the school has spent the last 100 years winning basketball titles. Give them a break, they're just starting to try out this college football thing.

Spott 04-22-2009 09:11 PM

Yeah, they've only been trying that college FB thing for 117 years or so.

Imon Yourside 04-22-2009 10:26 PM

Kansas Jayhawks..... yup.

Nubs have no chance. It will be between KU and MU...my prediction is unfortunately KU.

I want to see what we're fielding before I go making any predictions of the non-Homer variety.

Oh, and **** KU.
