The best information we have right now is that Jevon murdered his GF and then drove to practice and committed suicide in front of coaches. Inflicting insurmountable pain on the GF's family, created horrible memories that the coaches will never forget. And lastly but not least a 2.5 month old baby that will grow up with this tragedy.

I agree with you to a point, but what if he was suffering a untreated medical issue, like depression? I mean, people who suffer untreated medical issues can do irrational things.

Just throwing that out there, that's all.

It's still a shitty situation one way or another.

NJChiefsFan 12-01-2012 10:08 AM

I am essentially without words right now. I feel for that woman and her child, along with Jevon if this was a mental state and not a burst of anger. I also feel guilty for having thoughts on how this affects the Chiefs future and the things we are hoping to get out of it, but I can't lie, it's going through my head as well.

If it is Javon Belcher and his girlfriend, they're leaving behind a 2.5 month old baby. All I can do is shake my head.

If this is true. Belcher was a selfish coward. To do that to everyone involved is just beyond words. My prayers go out to all of them.

Yeah, I thought not breaking in might have to do with a bunch of kids watching zoo shows all of the sudden being fed details of a murder/suicide.

The more I think about it, the more pissed off I am at what an epic bag of shit this guy is. Destroys countless lives, literally and figuratively, including that of a baby, while forever tarnishing the legacy of a franchise.

We'll have to see this shit on a 30 and 30 in a few years.

SOC, winning games somehow from inspiration, who we take, who maybe doesn't get fired now....silly things compared to a life and future of a baby, but they are going through my head.

I don't know how you can possibly expect those coaches who witnessed that and those players who knew him to take the field and play a game tomorrow.

Yeah I see that but under the circumstances and the timing a little over 24 hours before the game and the it happened at Chiefs' practice field you really need to just cancel and move on.

How many players are not going to have thier mind on the game and possibly run a higher risk of injury?

I do agree my shock and sadness has worn a little towards anger at Belcher also. For being a coward in doing this and killing another person while leaving a 2 month old is bullsh*t. I feel for the situation but once you step back you realize this man just ruined a lot of peoples lives.

There is nothing inspiring about this situation, but this does **** SOC's message for a couple of games ( 2-3 games at least)

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -
Police are investigating two deadly shootings Saturday morning that they said are related.

The shootings involve a Chiefs player and his girlfriend.

The first shooting was reported about 8 a.m. at a home near East 54th Terrace and Crysler Avenue. The second shooting was reported a short time later at a Chiefs practice facility located on the Arrowhead facility.

Officials said the Chiefs player shot and killed his girlfriend and then drove to the practice facility where he shot and killed himself.

It's unknown if people were at Arrowhead or any of its surrounding facilities at the time.

Refresh this page for updates on this developing story.

KC_Lee 12-01-2012 10:16 AM

Also, wouldn't the practice field be considered an active crime scene? If your the police would you really want a bunch of fans coming over to where this occured?

He was a selfish POS murderer. To let him alter or ruin peoples lives just increases his selfishness act and makes it worse for those who were directly affected.

The advise to the families and those who witness a suicide is that you should just continue on with their lives as normally as possible.
