All of this pro bowl talent in KC has been around for awhile now yet we has 5 losing seasons in the last 6 years. And we're not talking about a bunch of 7-9 seasons...usually worse than that.
I like Reid but can't overlook his disasterous last two seasons. Any coach who can't win The SB with the talent Reid had there in Philly is not a good coach. I give Reid 3 years before he is fired. |

Why is Bob continually allowed to run around with different profiles and talk about hte same stupid bullshit, when we know he's trolling?

I hope Coach Andy Reid is as hungry for a Super Bowl title as he is for KC Bar B Q !

You can tell Clark is as giddy as a kid on christmas. ****ing smiling all over the place and what not.

Through most of the Carl era, he had to manipulate the cap numbers in order to get under the cap and bring in free agents and sign draft picks. In '08, Herman ****ing Edwards sold Hunt on a plan to rebuild, and the result of that plan had the Chiefs millions under the cap. But at the same time the Chiefs were third in the league in actual money spent last year. |
Orton didn't want to come here in the first place. People still don't understand this. Before they even claimed him, Orton was floating that he might not report to KC to the media, because he wanted to go to Chicago. John Clayton openly reported this. He did not even want to be in KC, but he showed up, played the good employee and got out as fast as he could.

Wow 2013 looking good with the Chiefs 13th head coach. Its a sign.
|
12-20 the past two years. No playoff wins since 08. Other than poor draft picks...
-horrible time management -doesn't have a clue when to call timeouts or challenge a call -unable to make in-game adjustments -Poor play calling -throwing 60 plus times a game and ignoring the run game he's a great coach. |

That said, Clark has been the ugly girl at the school dance. Far, FAR too passive. The last decade our approach to FA was "well, if we can get guy X at a good price lets do it!" Reid identified his targets and said "these are the people I think we need. Do what we have to so we can get them." Did Reid get burned? Yes, clearly. Quote:

I hope Andy finds the second coming of Jim Johnson for defense.
Andy Reid... -Lost an NFC championship game AND a SB purely on time management. -Lost 3 NFC championship games at home to teams they dominated that season and seasons before. -Had two great RB's but refused to run the ball while opting to throw 90% of the time to 3rd rate WR the best of which was Freddie Mitchell. (lol) |

Baby steps. ****ing baby steps... |
Raush you are correct, baby steps.
Hell we will just be happy to get around .500 next season. |

The Giants won two SB's during Andy's time. Reid was in Philly 14 years and has been to one SB in 2004 and lost. He's had Philly in many playoff games and back in the day contending year after year, yet no SB win and teams are clamoring for him? Agreed. We did'nt get this way overnight and the fix isn't going to happpen overnight either. |

Even with a below average QB (Alex Smith, rookie, random 2nd stringer) we should net 6 wins. Bottom end. |

No, I don't. I think he'll rebuild this franchise back to the Marty/Carl level of competitive. That's it. Then I think (3-4 years) he should be fired and the best guy we believe can take us to the next level should be hired. Quote:

I don't have blinders on when it comes to Reid, I think he can return the franchise to respectability, but I don't think he is a SB winning coach. Let's hope I'm wrong. |
Reid is 54, he's not Romeo old.
An association a KU friend made of Reid is, Roy Williams. He was great at KU, consistent winner. But he never won the big one. Sometimes a change of scenery is needed when you are with a certain team for that long. |
What we had is a total change of direction by our owner. We just witnessed a Clarkopalypse!!!!

Brian Billick has zero offensive intelligence. If he couldn't win with the best damn defensive unit in years what makes anyone believe he could do crap with what sad defensive capabilities we have here now? I think Reid was a good choice...would I have loved to see Cowher? Sure but I'm realistic enough to realize it wasn't a reality. |
Billick was a good OC in Minnesota because he had Chris Carter, Randy Moss and Robert Smith. He couldnt do jack with Baltimore
|
Someone might have already asked this but I don't want to look at every thread and post to find out...... Did the Chiefs satisfy the "Rooney Rule" before they hired Reid?
Or since the outgoing coach was a minority they didn't have too? |
