I saw that post, too. That isn't actually true, is it? I can't imagine that they believe that they get NEGATIVE worth from attending the game.

Has any QB ever actually improved their stock through the senior bowl?

Through the game itself? Not sure. But through the whole week many have. Although I've heard teams are more concerned with practices and position drills than the game itself. But who knows?

Nick Foles and Kirk Cousins went from "will they get drafted before the 5th?" to mid round picks.

Ricky Stanzi got himself drafted from it. Jake Locker and Ponder moved themselves into the first round. Ponder was great in his.

BossChief 01-26-2013 04:58 PM

Teams know that there are years of film of what the kids can do when adjusted to a system...the senior bowl, interviews, combine and pro days are all about seeing how they process information and how big the gap is between their current football knowledge and what they will be asked to do after they are drafted is.

There is a reason the qbs picked in the top ten almost never play in the senior bowl or throw at the combine...

They don't because it's easier to drop than to rise.

Jim Scharwtz looks like a lesbian so we can excuse the poor QB play

keg in kc 01-26-2013 05:02 PM

Play calling didn't have anything to do with the kind of accuracy we saw in the first half. None of them could hit the broad side of a barn from two inches in front of it.

Bullshit.

There was a time Foles was being projected in the first round...there was never a time he wasn't gonna get drafted. Cousins was the same.

Locker was always a first rounder...in fact if he came out in 2010, he would have been the top pick, or second overall. Biggest mistake in NFL history with him opting to go back...he cost himself 40 million dollars.

You have a point with Ponder...he helped himself.

I'm not gonna comment on Stanzi...

I saw no accuracy issues with Wilson or Manuel.

Plus under his watch Matt Stafford hasn't been anywhere near as good as he could be. Proving that he is indeed a lesbo looking pos with QBs

Wilson didn't throw a pass over 5 yards. Manuel was off target on most of his.

If Wilson didn't throw a pass over 5 yards than why did he underthrow that endzone shot?

And if Manuel was off target why were both guys almost perfect?

fairladyZ 01-26-2013 05:06 PM

hell of a throw by glennon

BossChief 01-26-2013 05:07 PM

Crazy to think that Manuel was probably the best QB so far.

Titty Meat 01-26-2013 05:07 PM

Another great throw ****

Canofbier 01-26-2013 05:07 PM

Glennon with another really nice one (two). He has the best and among the worst throws of the day. I could see a team with an aging veteran take him later in the first in the hopes that a year or two on the bench could improve his consistency.

I figured he'd be over-drafted because of his freak athleticism and size. But after a solid week he's going to go way higher than he probably should

BossChief 01-26-2013 05:08 PM

Glennon is showing EXACTLY what I saw of him in college. Inconsistent.

One drive he looks like a first rounder...next drive he looks like a 5th rounder.

B14ckmon 01-26-2013 05:09 PM

I'd take EJ Manuel in the third.

BossChief 01-26-2013 05:09 PM

Not sure he'll be there. He is going to kill at the combine and some team will reach for him

Excuse me, Wilson didn't complete a pass over 5 yards.

Manual wasn't leading his receivers at all. He was all over the place. He threw one solid pass for the TD.

Maybe Wilson will drop and we can get him with the 33rd. I wouldn't hate that.

TRR 01-26-2013 05:38 PM

I absolutely cannot stand Tyler Wilson's delivery. He will have more issues with it in the NFL than he did in college. His accuracy really struggles as does his deep ball because of that side-arm delivery.

Not a QB worth taking in this game.

aturnis 01-26-2013 05:52 PM

Glennon is Flacco, as I've been saying for quite a while. Inconsistent, strong arm, and can pick you apart with short crossing and sideline routes when he hits a hot streak. I liked Flacco coming out, but I wouldn't have taken him #1 overall.

It's taken Flacco until this season to be any kind of consistent. I'd expect the same with Glennon. He could possibly improve faster with Reid and crew on the case. But he'll always look funny.

Glennon WISHES he could have had a senior year like Flacco did.

I really don't see the Flacco/Glennon similarity.

You have 2 years of REAL games in the Air-Raid and another year in a pro style offense.
