I saw the prototype of the '15 Mustang at the Dallas auto a few weeks ago and was pretty impressed. European sports cars are more my thing even though I have owned a Mustang Cobra but it seemed like the new Mustang was a fair amount more refined in appearance/body lines (didn't look cheap) while still preserving the classic look. The '14 models looked fairly dated compared to the new platform.

I had recalled some Escalade model the offered a while back that was absurdly fast for a giant SUV and found this vid. They have some other supercar recently that topped out higher than a Veyron Super Sport which I think has since been beaten by someone. Maybe koenigsegg.

People can mode GTR's more so than almost any other car. Some of the GTR fanboys have absurdly powered cars. I've seen TopSpeed in Alpharetta tune some to around 1900 HP. after full exhaust replacement+mods alone.

I had an '08 335 coupe for a bit but traded it in a few months ago for a '12 M3 coupe. I have always been a big fan of BMW in general and the 3 series but fairly underwhelmed by the new 4 series and some of their other more recent offerings.

Have you considered the 2005-2006 GTO? 400 hp LS2 engine. I had a Cyclone Gray '05 but sold it when my son came along. I miss that car... You could get a nicely used one for under 20K. NICE leather seating, Blaupunkt stereo system.

Imagine the motors are basically hand built tanks then.

alot. I used to run a 2.9 whipple but 800+ just wasn't going to get me where I wanted to be. Right now I'm on a three stage nitrous setup that *should* push me DEEP into the 9's. After a trans swap and a little boost 8.9's is the goal. All in a car I drive 80 miles a day taking my daughter to school in.

How so? Just curious as the tuner companies are out of my element as someone who prefers only stock and Hennessey has seemed to have put out stuff that at least appears legit in their claims.

Pretty much - I'm not sure if I told you - but I had an 06 A4 3.2 in which the timing chain broke, I bought an 07 335i Sedan in charcoal - got the JB4 and AR downs+ER charge pipe. Kept having exhaust leaks - pissed me off one morning - so I traded it for a 09 335i coupe black on black - got it tuned w/ the Cobb Access port. I am not to the level of these Caddys - but I've never been beaten upon a challenge, so far. Love that car - I also got an engine over haul in the Audi for my daily beater.

I am looking at the newer dual clutch m's next year - totally dope rides.

I saw the M3/4 at the auto show and thought the 4 door might have looked better even though I usually prefer them in 2 door form. I'm expecting those to both be pretty damn impressive at stock and the forced induction probably gives more room for mods than the previous high rev V8.

is your m dual clutch? also - do you happen to have a picture - I literally could talk cars all night. It's a new found interest and I'm somewhat a n00b - but it's a lot of fun. lol

my 335i is in the shop - ****ing blew another coil - second one. So yeah - i'm stuck w/ my Audi and a ****ing Camry loaner over this beautiful weekend - it's going to be 70 all weekend!

- though the Camry isn't a bad looking car. Just not a big performer. lol

I need to take some actual pics at some point. I ended up going with the dual clutch over a manual but it was a really difficult decision. I had always driven manuals and initially tought I would when shopping M3s. The dual clutch still preserves the the throttle/engine breaking of a manual and putting it in drive in traffic is great. Also helps that it shifts faster than anyone could a manual.

Same as the latest generation 335. The 335 motor changed in 2011 from the previous twin turbo to a single twin scroll turbo that is supposed to be a little more efficient. What disappointed me about the 435i is the power is basically unchanged since 2007.

They're calling the 11' 322whp - weird - so how is the single turbo rating higher in wheel horse versus the twin turbo? Ughh....

Putting miles on a car I don't own like a loaner/rental is great. Obviously you have to pay for gas but drive that Camery everywhere or even a weekend road trip.

I have a classic muscle car that stays garaged 90% of the time but these new mustangs really float my boat

I think both engines were right around 300 hp. The 2011 switched from a twin turbo to what they called a twin scroll single turbo. The results were pretty much the same with the newer motor having a slightly better power curve and MPG.

Give the new '15 a chance. From the protype I think they may have really nailed it.

nice to see some car guys on here. I have an evo that does pretty good. ran 11.20's @ 130 with around 500 to the tires. only cuts 1.8 60's.it hooks up btter on the street though due to not having to drive through the waterbox on the street.... but I used to have a lightning, and I loved that truck to death. only ran 12.6 but the blower noise and torque is ****ing heaven on earth. i'd prolly look to get into a termi if I were you. or a new 5.0.

That's a really good time man, I'm shocked that some of the American motors are pulling those stats, very impressive, I'd probably trap out around 118ish.

honestly there's not a bigger deer on the road, really there's not - esp. if they're/he's - they've modified it.

These things are in a league of their own.

Outside the pages of a dupont registry - a moded GTR can't be beat. It would be a unique situation if it were to lose.

Porsche Turbo S in stock form is pure insanity for acceleration. All of the power goes to the ground. Think its a touch quicker than godzilla stock.

Let me dig up some video of me destroying a modded gtr, he had just under 700 AWHP. Nice cars but not unbeatable.
