Alex is going to turn the team mentality around. The best you can hope for is that your GM seeks and finds his elite QB prospect somewhere down the line. I realize there is no precedent for that with this franchise, so it is what it is.

Montana, Green, Dawson- ever hear of them?

I can see a girl being offended is all. I'm not sure what kind of normal guy doesn't understand trash talk, insults, jeers and put downs among guys. I'm not into it unless I get extremely frustrated or I am baited into it, but I do understand the mentality of guys -- being one. If you were a girl, I could understand your confusion over this. As a guy, you are either a very weird guy or being disingenuous.

Either way, it is your problem not theirs -- so you are very wise to get off your soapbox and just let it go. Kudos. That was smart.

I guess by "propect" he means draft? All 3 of those guys were 50/50 on weather they would have success here. It is not like the Chiefs have Never had a good QB-lol :shake:

I was a bit surprised that Ryan put his balls in a waffle iron like that over a "Practice". It was not even a game situation and it gets blown up. Clearly Ryan is postioning to start Dirty Sanchez and does not want to here a bunch of backlash from it.

Geno Smith had not been mentioned in this thread until your post.

It's possible to be skeptical/critical of Alex Smith without tying it to decisions made regarding Geno.

Some people take this forum way to serious. It's the ****ing Internet. And some of us are tired of this franchise and want our drafted franchise QB. However, we have Alex and ill tolerate it and hope for the best. I believe Bray has a shot to turn into something.

I hope for better, but at least there is some entertainment and fascination with the crybabies.

That's the thing, you and several other people take everything that's posted on here seriously, when half the stuff is people just having fun with the situation. Its you people that are the real whiners because you just whine and whine about ****ing everything when its clear people aren't actually letting this stuff bother them, they're just having fun ****ing with the dumbshits that are overly serious.

The best part is that you people say they should just ignore you when its the complete opposite, they're prodding you into pissing off the other shit for brains by goading you into continuing to post your inane worthless opinions and fawning over your former QB. You're so clueless about what's going on that you sit around seriously trying to tell people to be chipper and optimistic because they'll win more than 2 games so they've got so much to look forward to, and then wonder why everyone calls you a ****ing idiot.

This whole forum has gotten so thoroughly punked by itself it doesn't even know it. There's a few people that understand how blind fandom is the same as religion and politics and easily exploitable to get idiots to make fools of themselves. This place is so full of the Dunning-Krueger effect though that they actually bask in their own ignorance, while not realizing they are the joke. As far as this forum goes, what the Chiefs do is irrelevant now, the real entertainment is the fans themselves.

How is that not meaningful?

What's even more amazing is that he has QB'd a grand total of one pre-season drive for the Chiefs, and he is still / already that polarizing.

Quite a phenomenon. There must be some kind of scientific or psychological explanation for it.

Well it'd either make it wrong or irrelevant. I'm just not sure which.

He has played quite a few meaningful downs. Just not as a Chief... I guess you could hold that against him even though he hasn't had a chance to play a single regular season snap.

Its definitely psychological.

Team has number one pick in the draft, hasn't drafted a qb since 1983 in the first round, and they trade for a guy who was benched on another team.

Team has done retread qbs for 30 years, backlash.

Unless Alex Smith is the qb of the Chiefs and wins a super bowl, he will never be accepted by some. Now, don't get it wrong, from what I gather, the majority of Chiefs fans, are very happy to have Alex Smith. But you know what they say. The squeakiest wheels are always the loudest.....

It is not going to be easy watching him being hit after he suffered a gruesome knee injury in the playoffs.

Despite concerns that Robert Griffin III might reinjure his knee and potentially tear his anterior cruciate ligament for the third time in five years, Washington Redskins offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan said Wednesday he has no plans to change the offense.

"I kind of enjoy the zone read because the quarterback is not taking it unless there's no one to hit him," Shanahan told news reporters after the Redskins' minicamp practice at Redskins Park. "If there is someone to hit him, you're usually handing it off. The zone read is something I feel, in the long run, helps the quarterback."

And yet you continue to absolutely go balls out to try and denigrate this team after they did a complete 180 and made every attempt to wash the shit stains of Pioli and Crennel and Daboll away.

Yes, as if the 49ers coaches don't know that all you have to do is take away Alex's short field and he is doomed. The Giants did that. Seattle did that. It isn't rocket science. Take away Alex's slants and outs and 4 yarders, make him throw 10+ yards, and you've beat him.

The 49ers do have a rookie safety, so we'll see if Andy lets Alex attack him.

Kaepernick was put in the game at strange times and killed the momentum on a couple drives for Smith.

On the other hand, the Giants scored 26 points on the 49ers defense.

He'll sling it if he's comfortable his target is wide open. VD, for example. (Of course, VD is one of a kind, and doesn't play for the Chiefs.)

The irony of that would be if Eric Fisher gave up the sack.

Seconded. That would be awesome. The sooner we get Smiff killed the sooner we can move on to a real QB possibility

49er fans wont admit that. They also make false claims like taking away the short stuff dooms alex smith.

When in fact, is was the short passes and running game that won the game against the Seahawks. That's all they did in the second half. Ran Crabtree on slants and drags, and ran the ball.

People remember, what they think will support their weak theories the best.

just like I said over and over last year, Kaeps accuracy, and touch issues on short passes were his biggest problem. I got crushed. Then the super bowl happened. And on a short pass, he threw it too hard, and out of bounds uncatchable.

Even more so than the guy above you? That's pretty effing embarrassing of a fan of a team....they don't even let the guy get into a regular season game.

Because the QBs we've had in the past were great.

And our outstanding success reflects that fact.

How is Mario Manningham coming along after coming off reconstructive knee surgery - Do you think he will be released?

Alex Smith wonders what Aldon Smith's head looks like on a stick!

No. He definitely wont be released. They are going to need him. He is going to start the season on the PUP list. They cant find a second receiver to save their life. He took a pay cut to stay. They really like him.
