I got to go to a lot of games during the true golden years in the late 90's while I was in school.

Didn't matter last night, there was nowhere to run. Our very solid running back was stymied all game. The Oline was unable to get any push, and this team misses Braden Wilson. Waters looks like a guy that can be a reasonable threat on the ground, at least getting what is blocked. He's more athletic than some other QB's we've had as run/pass threats. But when you don't open any holes, and the other team repeatedly gets penetration, you aren't going to run the ball.

This oline group had a good start to the season last year, but the second half of the season wasn't as positive. Looks like it's carried into this season.

Running QB's create space for the RB. It stretches the defense and keeps them guessing.

Compare the seasons KSU has had a pocket passer vs. running QB. It's not even close.

If Sams is a LEGITIMATE dual threat and can actually sling the ball around I am all for him being THE guy. But thid offense needs a more balanced approach IMO. There is truth to all of this as well. The defensive talent certainly limits our options. And OBZ assistants have been in high demand for a long time. It is both a credit and a curse to the man.

It was not that balanced. When a play needed to be made everyone knew Klein was more than likely to keep the ball.

I'm not sure Texas can defend anything. But, I have to believe Snyder is smart enough to look at the game tape and at a minimum increase Sams' playing ALOT.

Your defense will improve. KUs defense looked pretty good yesterday, kind of. They'd be a sieve for a whole drive and then make a stand. Good teams will score before they can make a stand.
