The 49ers act as if that penalty lost them the game. It did not. They had a series of mistakes at the end of the game. Gore drops a ball that could have went for a TD - Sproles fair catch was missed by a 49ers special team's player. And Kaepernik jumping out of bounds on a third down play giving the Saints 35-40 more seconds on the clock.
