Clemson is in the Orange so I wouldn't call Duke the acc 2. That said great game

Ka-Razy football game, thanks to SaulGood for reminding me it was on.

No way he would come out this early just to be a low round pick.

If it was me I would pick him high if he comes out. I think he is going to be a very good pro QB as long as he stays healthy, which is really my only concern with him.

Great game! Johnny Football may not have the size, but he has the "it" factor completely. No way he isn't a high first rounder after a night like this.

Yep. Injury is my only concern as well. Would take over Bridgewater. And what clowns would really take Bortles over him? Thumb injury was a freak thing, but the shoulder could have been prevented and he needs to tone it down. Love his competitiveness though.

TribalElder 12-31-2013 11:08 PM

He can stay in Texas and land in Houston ROFL

It's not about the stuff on the field, it's the standing on the benches screaming at people that bugs me.

I get it, he's emotional. All I see is "bitch" though.

Early in the year he was a distant teammate and not a leade/captain. Guess he decided to amp it up. That's what everyone wanted, right?

Also, unrelated, am I wrong or does Bridgewater look a shade under 6'2"?

Bridgewater looks as small as Manziel and has half the talent.

Wouldn't that make him a huge success? Rivers has been a top 5-10 QB since he entered the NFL.

kepp 01-01-2014 11:58 AM

Wow, that was not a TD by Nebraska...ball hit the ground. And they didn't review it.

Clowney takes plays off.

Dude looks amazing one play, then doesn't move the next.

Sassy Squatch 01-01-2014 02:04 PM

Yeah he really has looked hot and cold. I get that he has next to no motivation to play college ball but it kind of looks ridiculous.

WhawhaWhat 01-01-2014 02:08 PM

Some really good games on right now. SC vs Wisc and UGA vs the Husker have both been fun.

mlyonsd 01-01-2014 02:17 PM

Craziest play of the day so far. Iowa LB pic-6 but he dropped the ball to celebrate before he crossed the goal line. Ref signaled TD and the ball fell into the end zone but LSU didn't pick it up, they thought the play was over. They reviewed it and gave Iowa the ball on the 1/2 yard line because LSU didn't recover it, if they had it would have been a touch back.

LSU misses Mettenberger immensely. I was hoping to get a good look at their receivers but this kid playing QB isn't remotely close to being ready to play in a game like this.

Saul Good 01-01-2014 03:31 PM

Georgia really had to work to lose that game.

Saul Good 01-01-2014 03:33 PM

In the last 15 years, the SEC has won 60% of their bowl games. Every other major conference is below .500.

displacedinMN 01-01-2014 03:37 PM

The refs had NO CLUE during the second half of the Iowa game.

Iowa played tough in second half, as it easily could have been 28-0 at half.

Never count out Iowa.

Pitt Gorilla 01-01-2014 03:38 PM

This year has to be one of the cooshiest sec bowl schedules we've seen in years. Nebraska, Iowa, and duke are complete garbage. Most years, the SEC is in a league of their own. This year... Not so much. I'm also really, really disappointed in the match ups. I would love to see the sec against Stanford, michigan state, and Oregon. Instead we get Oklahoma state, Oklahoma... He'll, even Florida state I'm not sure if they're as good as everyone really thinks.

Bambi 01-01-2014 03:45 PM

SEC usually plays a lower BigTen in bowls.
Who know what will change next year when the BIG takes over the bowl selections.

JFC...yeah, the SEC should have to play the Broncos every game. It's not enough that the SEC #7 plays the ACC #2. That's still a cupcake schedule.

I can't believe you're talking about duke as if they're a quality opponent. In the acc it's fsu, Clemson, and duke is a distant third.

If mizzou and bama are good teams, which I believe they are, I hate the idea that they play Oklahoma and Oklahoma state. I just think the sec bowl schedule this year is super weak. This is not a diss on the sec. I think everyone would acknowledge it wasn't the strongest year for the sec.

kepp 01-01-2014 04:05 PM

On a side note, I hate these college teams that give their players little "did something good" stickers to garbage up their helmets. After you have so many can you even remember why you got half of them?

tk13 01-01-2014 07:15 PM

I don't know how many times I've seen that. Stanford botches a FG snap, but completes a pass to an ineligible man downfield. Penalty... they get to try a FG from a longer distance, make it.

Agreed. The ACC has been flat out terrible. This win probably puts the b1g ahead of the PAC 12. Pecking order is probably sec first, big 12 second, b1g third, PAC 12 fourth. Unless both Clemson and fsu pull off wins, but I just don't see fsu doing that.
