So... You're hyping Hemingway as the guy that could supplant Bowe as the starter?

THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I ****ING SAID WHEN I ORIGINALLY QUOTE YOU.

The door is wide open for him. Reports said he had a pretty nice camp and is healthy.

How can he be healthy and be on injured reserve?

pugsnotdrugs19 08-16-2014 11:10 AM

This suspension is really such a blessing for the team. Cutting him after the season would have originally cost us some cap space, now it will free some up. There is no way not to keep Houston and Smith if they want them now. So many picks to come next year... have to figure it will happen (Bowe's release after season). Unless he does something crazy and plays good.

:hmmm:

I thought I just read a report from the coaches saying he was having a good camp? I must be confusing him with someone else? Seems all of our young receivers are tearing it up, so hopefully it will keep going into the season.

Titty Meat 08-16-2014 11:17 AM

If they dump Bowe I hope they keep Hali. I see them possibly dumping both and signing guys like Denver did this year.

Dunerdr 08-16-2014 02:17 PM

I've read a few good things about Harrison but I think he is dinged up. He strikes me as the kind of guy that could blow up after a year in our system with our coaches.

He is the guy who comes in for Bowe dude. He is 2nd string now and he was second string behind Bowe last year. Look at the depth chart.

http://www.kcchiefs.com/team/depth-chart.html

If we played Tennessee today, Hemmingway is the starter. If he plays really well in that game, I wouldn't be surprised to see him stay in there.

What I said was clear as a bell. You are turning this into something it's not. Why is it so hard for you to understand Hemmingway is his back up? It is there for the world to see.

Rausch 08-16-2014 06:53 PM

Dorsey must love this.

He can cut yet another overpaid player after the season...

He is really loving it. He gets a "Get out of Jail Free Card" on this one. Honest to God the first thing I thought when Bowe got arrested was being able to get out of his deal. At the time, I really thought he would have to be convicted. Finding out he just had to be suspended is ****ing wonderful.

You literally just reiterated what I said that you originally said.

Can someone else chime in here? I feel like I'm taking crazy pills..

Quit back tracking and sack up man. You were wrong and keep trying to say I think Hemmingway will beat Bowe out or something. Hemmingway has been Bowe's back up for a long time and you didn't know it. I wish I could have processed that sooner but it took me a second. It's no big deal. This is dumb.

So you said that Hemingway would start for Bowe in the Titans game, and if he plays well, that he might stay there.

If that doesn't mean that he replaces Bowe as the starter after the Titans game, what exactly does it mean?

I never said he would SUPPLANT Bowe. I said if he played well enough he could but in no way did I say it was definite. Does this sum it up?

The fact is that virus acted like it was crazy to think that Hemmingway would even play for him at all. He went so far as to question whether I was talking about Avery. The fact is that Hemmingway is Bowe's back up and Jenkins is Avery's back up. It was the same last season. Quit twisting my words Milkman. If you are going to comment then do your homework. This is dumb and I'm through with this.

Chief Roundup 08-16-2014 09:04 PM

I can't help but wonder what if anything the Browns would offer in a trade for Bowe if Gordon is suspended for the season.

That's all well and good, but they still ignored the WR position in a draft that most believed was the best WR draft since 1996.

..a bowe show rerun.

...waiting for him tell us again how he'll lead the league in TD's

If I am reading post 155 right, he must be cut in the next couple of weeks, not after the season. I could be wrong though.

Yes, he gets to cut the guy that he overpaid......

mcaj22 08-17-2014 09:03 AM

there's no way they get to use him for the season and then still use the get out of cap hell free card on him with all the void benefits of the contract

they would have to cut him soon. There's no way that clause lasts 4+ months of an entire NFL season after the fact.

Coogs 08-17-2014 10:44 AM

Regardless of who is left to play WR if Bowe is released, if there is a decision to be made for the better of our team long term, then it needs to be made.

Are we better long term if we keep him, or are we better if we spend the cash elsewhere?

Dorsey needs to get it right... even if it means admitting a mistake was made in signing him last year.

Dunerdr 08-17-2014 12:19 PM

Honestly I'm a bowe homer. But recently I've been more of a Dorsey homer. He's got a formula, he's got a dream, and he's got motivations. I don't honestly think bowe fits his mold. He goes after high ceiling workout warriors who absolutely live and breathe football. Bowe is none of those things. And vastly overpaid.

Pretty sure they were sending a message last night that Bowe is in their plans in a big way. They went to him early and often, and the guy looks fantastic.

Bowe detractors can shove a dong in their mouth.
