agreed. Not worth making a night out of it, but my wife and I watching it in our theater for $6 was nice.

I think the best parts were the celebrity cameos. Props to them for having a sense of humor about themselves.

Just might have to do this. I would love day one digital releases.

007 12-24-2014 08:24 PM

yep, back to old school matinee fees. I'd go that route every time.

Hootie 12-24-2014 11:31 PM

Rented it. Enjoyed it. 6/10. Will not watch again.

BWillie 12-25-2014 02:36 AM

Thought it was hilarious. Boarderline great. 8.5 of 10.

Come at me North Korea

REDHOTGTO 12-25-2014 07:15 AM

Could not care less about watching the movie at all, looks ignorant. However I do not wish to have my freedoms restricted by any other country, least of all a country we should have turned into a parking lot years ago.
Have fun and be safe watching it today

DaveNull 12-25-2014 08:58 AM

Thought it was good! It's not in the tier of zoolander/big lebowski, but it's up there with the original Anchorman.

digger 12-25-2014 05:40 PM

Saw it,was good. 3.5 out of 5.

Zoolander is one of the worst movies Ive ever seen.

Mr. Flopnuts 12-26-2014 06:00 AM

This smells of a great big marketing hoax.

I don't even go that far. It's in range of bad to worst movie ever

Tribal Warfare 12-26-2014 12:35 PM

North Korea was NOT behind the Sony hack according to multiple security experts who discredit FBI findings and reveal that a studio insider named 'Lena' may be responsible

bowener 12-26-2014 09:40 PM

Honestly, this was possibly one of the worst films I have ever watched. This has nothing to do with the marketing or hype leaving me with lofty expectations. This was a complete turd.

edit: I will also add that I watched it with a very high friend who laughs at almost anything (frogs hopping for example), and he barely chuckled during the entire film.

BigBeauford 12-26-2014 10:07 PM

This movie was terrible. The writing was god awful, and clearly not the same who penned "This is the End", Franco was terribly obnoxious...it's definitely a huge missed opportunity.

The premise is great for sure. Perfect for a comedy. Unfortunately nobody bothered to write one. Franco absolutely is far too obnoxious in this.

I must have been the only one who enjoyed the obnoxious Franco in this. Either 22 Jumpstreet or this was the funniest movies ive seen all year. Everybody watching it with me was laughing their asses off.

okcchief 12-28-2014 12:41 AM

There was some funny stuff but definitely not up to pay with Superbad, This is the End etc. I really wish most movies were released this way. Loved that it only cost me $5.99. Glad I didn't buy it because I was debating that.

I still wonder how much of this shit was creative marketing, knowing they had a turd on their hands (box-office wise, not a comment on the movie's quality...).

Sony is not that smart.

They floated the idea of an "Aunt Mae" Spider-Man film just to keep the rights

Jim Lahey 12-28-2014 03:13 AM

You can watch the full movie online. Dont remember the site name but it shouldnt be hard to find.

The premise would make a great political black comedy like Dr. Strangelove. Rogen and Franco are no Kubrick or Sellers though.

DaneMcCloud 01-24-2015 10:52 PM

Now on Netflix

DaneMcCloud 01-26-2015 08:14 PM

Watched it last night. It was neither as bad as I thought it would be nor anywhere near as good as it could have been.

I didn't find Franco's character as obnoxious whatsoever. He was a schlocky TV host, and surprisingly, I thought he was good. Rogen, on the other hand, was the same as always. He was a little reserved in some scenes but overall, I didn't see the character, just Seth.

Overall, it was a missed opportunity, IMO.

hometeam 01-26-2015 10:48 PM

I think the James Franco we see in this movie is probably very close to his real self~

penguinz 01-27-2015 09:30 PM

One of the dumbest movies I have seen this decade. And I have seen some really dumb movies.

ToxSocks 01-28-2015 05:18 PM

I wanna watch it because of the hype...but im so sick of Seth Rogen. He stole his stupid, pointless and not-that funny banter style from Family guy. Sure it was funny in his first 2-3 movies....but at this point it's beyond annoying.
