Why Not? 05-24-2015 01:55 PM

It's fun to watch the Tigers bullpen.

Mr. Laz 05-24-2015 01:57 PM

Gordon is supposed to be our best player, need more than that

at least let that one pitch hit him in the elbow pad

BigMeatballDave 05-24-2015 01:58 PM

2 of 3, I'm good.

Save the sweeps vs AL opponents.

MahiMike 05-24-2015 02:11 PM

not feelin it today.

Send ESKY down, he's been terrible in the field.

It may be time to move him down the order. A .322 OBP is pretty low for a leadoff hitter.

jimidollar 05-24-2015 02:27 PM

Damn, blown out today. Oh well, still won the series.

baitism 05-24-2015 02:33 PM

Why is Salvy still in the game?

2 out of 3 ain't bad.

PHOG 05-24-2015 02:53 PM

Well, get the plane loaded up. Early noon game in NY on tap.
And hopefully another series win.

Since when is a 5-run deficit a 'blow-out'?

5 runs? I disagree. 8? Okay. 10? Absolutely.

Al Bundy 05-24-2015 03:11 PM

Took 2 out of 3. Their best beat out worst.

OK, to make us feel better, who's up for a 20+ inning game between the Rangers and Yankees tonight?

petegz28 05-24-2015 04:03 PM

It was hardly a blow out. We had some rotten luck today and they had some good fortune, like the excuse-me, check swing for an RBI....

We hit some balls hard today but they never found grass..I thought Gordon hit the salami when the ball came off the bat but to no avail.....

shit happens...we beat them 2 out of 3...I'll take 2 wins and a "blowout" loss all day long

It's so funny that you post this after last night where you mocked all those Cards fans for bitching about the weather.

I blame this on your chart.
Thanks, pete's crazyass chart.

I guess I should ignorantly bitch about the rules and weather? Perhaps then I'd be more like the Cards fans?

Or cry about bad luck when it's only your bad luck.

BigCatDaddy 05-24-2015 04:52 PM

The Cards fans get mocked because of their self appointed "Greatest Fans In Baseball" shit. As if its so damn hard supporting a team that had a prime McGwire and Pujols on it and was a consistent winner. 20 years of David Glass's cheap ass would have brought that fan base or any to its knees.

I understand "hurr best fans in baseball durr" but I'm making fun of Pete because he is acting like a rainstorm blowing through in the bottom of the 6th in a 1 run game isn't bad luck.

Because a lot of those ****ing morons didn't know the rules. Our guys hit some hard balls right at people, congrats your ace beat probably our worst starting pitcher.

And the great part of him falling to us in the draft, it was the extra pick for Pujols who left for $20 million because he had his feelings hurt.

You rough up Wacha? Well done.:thumb:

Now 7-0 1.78 ERA. Cy Yong candidate.

The Royals are the real deal. Best record in baseball now. You guys can flat hit that ball hard. That was an impressive performance.

Good series. Two blowouts surrounded by a rain game. We just might have saw a preview of the World Series. Would be a great series.

O.city 05-24-2015 08:33 PM

Wacha isn't the best pitcher in the national league

Bowser 05-24-2015 08:41 PM

Happy to have a series win here. The Cardinals are a tough team.

Now can the Royals stop making a "thing" about the '85 World Series (I know this is the 30 year anniversary and all, but still...).

No not as long as there are Cards fans bitching and moaning and Whitey leading the charge.

This annoyed me too. By all means give that championship all the respect and honor its due, the fans like it as well. During the Cards series go right ahead and mention it a few times in commercials and in-game entertainment.

That patch on the sleeve today was a bridge too far.

Despite there being no George Brett, this team is a better team than the 1985. Live in the now. Especially when your current team kicks ass.

After 30 years you are going to allow the fans of other teams to dictate how you should feel?:shake:

tk13 05-24-2015 09:38 PM

I believe the Cards are doing a 1985 thing the weekend we go play there too. It's the 30th anniversary so it's not a huge deal, I think.

and thats fine, but when I saw "1985 World Series champions" on the sleeve of the Royals during the game, I just had to roll my eyes and go "oh, come on, really?"

The Cardinals could go all NASCAR on us and cover their uniforms with 11 World Series champion patches.

CaliforniaChief 05-24-2015 10:42 PM

A Cards/Royals series would be a blast. And I think it would be great, baseball-wise, too.

A good series this weekend. Filled the K, two really good teams, passionate fans, and got the win.

Do they not proclaim themsleves to be the best fans in baseball? I doubt 90% have any idea one guy mentioned it in article 30 years ago.
