We had the Denver game in hand?

Wasn't the game tied and going into overtime?

bevischief 10-13-2015 01:33 PM

Right off a short peer.

Why? We have no front 7 issues whatsoever in our base set.

How many sacks has KC netted so far this year?

That's why.

How often do we rush the passer our of our base set? Not often. Besides our base defense is nearly the exact same alignment as the 4-3 under a lot of teams run. Probably with slightly different gap responsibilities though. And our lack of sacks has nothing to do with our base defense. Sutton not blitzing enough, sure. Sutton dropping our best pass rusher into coverage too much, sure. Our secondary not covering enough, sure. Houston being the only person generating any sort of pass rush, sure. Teams getting the ball our quick, sure.. None of these would be solved by switching over to a 4-3.

I do agree though that it is easier finding 4-3 players than 3-4 players though.

Ditto. We win that game, we could have won the division. Now, we are the second pick in the draft

and NFL-PLEASE quit putting us on Thursday and Monday night games.
We don't deserve it and we need a full week to prepare.

I'm open to drafting a QB in any round. High 1st round does not always lead to success. Find the right QB and develop him.

I think Reid needs a full month to prepare.

Last year, beating NE and Seattle, Andy probably started preparing when the schedule came out.

This franchise isn't going to tear down and rebuild after one bad season.

It's time to start Ford over Hali. Tamba is done and we need to see if Ford has anything at all

Anyone who thinks that Dorsey is one of the problems is a doushenozzle cumbubblefart out of my loose ass.

*insert HA GAYYYYYYYYYY.gif*

But he shoulders some blame. Just about every pick in 2013 was a whif aside from Kelce. 2014 isn't looking too good either with Thomas' upside being a punt returning gadget player.

Simply Red 10-13-2015 08:15 PM

they should try 2 get Peyton Hillis back somehow!!

Big contract to Smith, Dee Ford.

Spoiler alert: he doesn't.

He's R-Kal Truluck. He's got a brilliant first step and that's ****ing it.

ChiefsCountry 10-13-2015 08:21 PM

Chiefs are lucky the Royals just pulled off another comeback and put the city all back in a Royal frenzy. You can tell on this board, its ones who live away from Kansas City that is all about the Chiefs suck. Rest of the city and sports media are in a Royals frenzy once again.

Don't insult Truluck. That guy had 5.5 sacks in his first 20 games.

Ford has 1.5 in 21.

On the other hand, Bob Sutton absolutely SHOULD be afraid for his job.

I think Petro said it best today. Andy is going anywhere till the end of next season barring health issues or a absolute complete meltdown. What we can hope for is that Reid and company come to realize that Alex is never going to hoist a Lombardi and give booger then Murray a shot to see what they have for the future.

I think that will NEVER happen but in our case that is best case scenario.

Psyko Tek 10-13-2015 09:54 PM

He said the loss of running back Jamaal Charles will make Reid's game-planning and play calling job a lot harder, and that an already weak Chiefs offense will have an even harder time moving forward.

Really, loses, what 15 plays he called a game?

ain't like the chiefs wiil get any worse
I think Green Bay broke the team
Rodgers coasted through that game
and smoked them hard

the coaching staff said well shit happens

Good point.

The last year of Pioli there was nothing to take the heat away. I know I won't give a shit about the Chiefs until baseball season is over and Alex is on the bench where he belongs.

I'm under the impression that our ILB's are the problem. Watch DJ try to cover a tight end that breaks off on a route. It's amusing. neither him or Mauga are able to hit the gaps quick and hard enough to stop RB's <3 yards from scrimmage

3 of our 4 LBs can't cover and the 4th is usually rushing the passer.

That's a huge problem I didn't even think about.

It scares me how much you know about this analogy. ;)

Kind of feels like I just saw Reid say losing this last game was like losing a child to drug abuse.

Pretty sure the loss to Denver broke them.

How can you face the abyss, when your franchise has been the abyss for the last decade +?

Head line makes zero sense. This is still a bottom 5 NFL franchise until they prove otherwise.

And by Reid and Smith's results. They aren't proving otherwise.

Hoover 10-14-2015 09:52 AM

Always good to hear from Pioli...

In other news Rosie O'Donnell fears that Megan Fox may appeal to straight men with functioning genitalia more than her and ratings may drop in the bikini contest round. Story at 11.
