Ravens tie or loss this week sends the Chiefs to the Playoffs automatically

I don't really fault people for being overly optimistic or defeated, but as always, it's the redundancy of such sentiments that gets real old. It has to be a misery loves company thing, +/or attention-grab. |
Rerun is just disappointed. He was homering it up with us before Lucy pulled the ball away.

We haven't lost back to back games since week 6 of last year. Furthermore all we are talking about there is winning 4 games to get to the AFCCG. 5 for the SB. How many 5 game winning streaks have we had the last 3 years? 3? |

Oh. So he's a scrub and he's out. Green, who is also a scrub, is out. Their OL is trash. Their backs might be worse. QB is average-ish. It's literally Sanders and Thomas then. If these guys score more than 12 points on us I'm going to be annoyed. |

i think so. after all those four yard passes he must be exhausted. then he can light it up like its indy 2014 :D |
**** Denver!
|
The best case scenario is the chiefs offense comes to life and puts a 40 spot on them so their o can say f u to their d.

You weren't here for the Marty era. We had tremendous regular season success and then playoff collapse after playoff collapse. That's exactly what it feels like right now. We didn't have the quarterback to pick the team up when it faltered. Now we rely on a guy who puts up 17 ppg. Rinse and repeat. |

What have we to really lose? Disappointment in playoff losses will exist regardless of whether we have shreds of hope and optimism or not, no? |
Faid lose to indy Saturday....then we lay an egg
|
No Wolfe, Marshall or Ward is basically their entire middle of their defense. Add both of their TE's and we should win
|
We just lost a worse Tenn squad. A ****ing joke of a game against a terrible pass defense. We SHOULD beat a below avg Denver squad, but who know anymore...

It hasn't been different this time. Regular season success with a 1-2 playoff record. |
So what's going to be open in the area for dinner options? Most of the places are closed, correct?

That's... different than then... yes yes? |
Still considered by many to be the best MNF game ever.

Arguing with NWO and Pest is a lost cause. Sandy, without you and me they have no one to talk to. I can only do so many community service hours in a day. Today I forgot my phone charger, hope they didn't start eating paint chips off the wall.

Listen, Meat, no one asked you to stalk me around CP and comment on everything I post. You're contributing to your own insanity.

Now quit derailing the thread and discuss Denver.

Yes, but Alex is worse. Houston didn't look good against Tenn. We need him BADLY |
Eat dirt on xmas you merry band of reprobates.

LMAO Haven't read that word since I last looked at the KJV. |

This offense has a legit chance to shock us all when the do or dies begin. We have seen what they are capable of when unshackled. This offense can go a long ways into lifting more than their share for the hobbling defense. I feel it. I believe it. I will look for it. If I am wrong, then I will eat it. |

But as Easy 6 threatens to neg rep war me by gathering Clay's band of merryman together.. Then I will plead the fifth. |

Smith can't ball out aginst bad defenses much less a very good one in Denver. |
Quote:
|
So do we expect to play bad or good defenses in the playoffs?
|
Quote:
With that being said. We will hold opponents to around 19. But will struggle mightly to score over 14 unless special teams and defense chip in... Defense gets roasted for the loss. Wash rinse repeat as we've done all year. |

Houston out?
|
That would be terrible. This is the live/die risk of paying maximum money to a single player... And I'm not so sure Houston or Watt will ever play to the value of their contracts
|
Quote:
That has nothing to do with how good or bad Smith is as a QB, its just ****ing stupid to make those statements. Merry Christmas. |

They are saying on the radio that this staff is being super cautious with Houston. Want him ready for January and feel comfortable with Ford and Tamba

Dude has basically missed 1 1/2 seasons. This is insanity. |
He's pretty much collected over 12 million for free now
|
Andy's clearly being cautious with Houston. Part of me wonders if it's bc it's expected to rain. Not a good situation to put a guy in coming off an ACL.
|
On a real note, someone on our training staff needs f**king fired.
What other team has EVERY single player coming back from an ACL injury miss games because of 'swelling'? Not to mention their mishandling of Houston last year. Shit is old. Do your job. I'm not buying the notion that this happens to everyone considering other guys aren't missing any games for 'swelling'. |

I cannot remember which play it was last week, but Houston took as shot right to his knee from one of our players while trying to recover a fumble. He was slow to get up after that and it must have been more serious than it appeared. IMO, Houston is not going to play this Sunday because he is injured, not because Reid wants to err on the side of caution, just as he is not keeping the offense close to his vest only to "unleash" Alex Smith in the playoffs. |
In kc bitches! Just ate Q39 and now at the hotel. Going to hit some bars.

Players may have had swelling, but it wasn't causing them to miss games. |
