HAHAHAHAHA

What a lovely little fantasy.

It's almost time for that extension folks!

I agree. Love Berry, but this D has shown it can plug and play at the safety position.

They will trade him or let him play out the last year of his deal and get a comp pick in 2020.

We should get a third for Poe next draft...I wonder who walks next offseason to give us our annual third round comp pick...

Well, to let him stay in 2018 would be reeruned if they have a capable starter ready. Saves $17M on the cap to release.

I don't see anyone trading for that.

If Tigger hates the deal, then it's a good deal.

I encourage SAUTO to continue in his Tigger-killing ways.

Amen.

Dorsey said in his press conference today that they had an in-person, 10-hour meeting to hash out the contract. Man...that would be intense.

Until we get a franchise qb Berry is the leader of this team. We had to sign him and I am glad we did. In todays pass happy nfl safety is more important than it used to be.

How many people are against this move?

Cos probably 90% of you were against extending Berry a few months ago and had no trouble putting the screws to those who said otherwise, and this contract is even bigger than the anticipated one.

We overpaid definitely, but that was the price. If Berry plays like he did last year throughout the life of the deal, I won't give a shit about the money

I'm actually still very leery about this deal. I think Berry's inspirational story along with some spectacular but normally undependable pick6es this season made us pay way too much. You have to give him credit for playing for a contract though, he managed to almost single handedly win several games this year.

Only on CP would even a safety signing lead to QB complaints.

Glad this is done, we didnt need it dragging into camp and preseason... we overpaid because he isnt the best safety in the NFL, but he is a top 3-5 guy and his contributions here go beyond the field

Top player + emotional leader = worth overpaying a little bit
