Yeah, I've had that thought as well. He was a die hard CP'er, then nothing. I think he got into some little spat towards the end of his time here, though. Hopefully that's it, and not the other...

I've heard that before, but I didn't see anything in his final posts that indicated a the level of frustration that would be required for a long time high volume poster to leave forever.

I know people like to be anonymous around here, but the "next of kin" field is in your profile for a reason. Laz doesn't have anything identifying in his profile at all - just an email address that is pretty similar to his username. Unless anyone knew him personally, we'll have trouble ever knowing what happened to him.

He wasn’t that old either if true. I saw a pic of him with his kid in one of the billion posts in the pic forum. That was 10 years or so ago and he looked young back then.
