Bad deal no matter what but Mr Hunt did the right thing. This team has the tools without all the negative signals keeping the guy around. Hope he gets his life in order and grows to be a man with some values .

The Chiefs will do great.

He'd be on probation, but that sort of incitement is real and powerful and demeaning and does she deserve to be fully absolved in the entire thing? And is he fully responsible?
2/ My issue is more about this: If you saw the video 9 months ago and said, "you know what - she was calling him this and that and this is how he responded." And then your wife's best friend saw it and posted it on her Facebook timeline and you immediately felt the need to display how horrified you felt and fired him.

2/ is the issue for me.

Well if you know he lied about what happened, then that throws his claim she was yelling the N-word into serious doubt.

That was so far from a beating it wasn't even close. :shake:

It's hard to see a bright side right now. This ****ing sucks.

This reminds me of DT. The way I feel right now is strikingly similar - depressed, dejected, helplessly watching shitty events unfold. Obviously the circumstances are different, but in the end, once again an off-field act of youthful stupidity cost us one of our best players. At least Hunt's not dead. But we may wish he was when he's gashing our defense as a Raider next year.

This morning, we had Hunt. Now he's gone.

****.

I think Kareem got railroaded on this. I hope he goes on and has a great career.

Political correctness claims yet another victim.

The super feeling and sky high hopes for this team just rapidly deflated like a large balloon quicker than Kareem got cut.

Overreaction and cutting NOT justified.

On one hand, I'd totally believe that the NFL and the Chiefs knew of the extent of the incident and hoped it would blow over.

On the other hand, I can totally see the extent of the NFL's investigation being just questioning Hunt and going with that.

Good god what a shitshow of idiocy. Everyone involved is a complete dumbass.

I hate this whole "women are sacred creatures" thing now. There are some evil women in the world and this one is clearly one of them. She tried to cause trouble and she got it, and now she's being treated like a victim. She was the instigator.

I'm incredulous. What a ridiculous overreaction.

I do as well. That ideology is what makes these skanks think they can put their hands on men and not face any consequences. Then, when a man actually defends himself against their attacks, everyone who sees it immediately sides with the **** because women are apparently these fragile little creatures who are too precious for this world.

penchief 11-30-2018 09:56 PM

I'm surprised but not shocked. The chiefs were in a tough spot. The team is on a legitimate super bowl run. Without him it is going to be tougher but having him on the team moving forward was going to be a major distraction and a source of unending negative attention.

I am very down about it because I liked Hunt and it was very disappointing, but even more so because this season is never going to be the same. The last thing I wanted was for this to be the focus of any discussion involving the chiefs for the rest of the season.

Frankly, the chiefs were damned if they do and damned if the don't. At least this way they won't have to deal with the distraction and the negativity while trying to win a championship. Still, it really sucks, though. Hunt was a special talent and I think a fundamentally decent person who behaved very badly.

Not how it works think Foster, exempt list doesn’t overuse free agents rules in the CBA just means he can play. But you can still claim suspended players.

He will not clear waivers, and should he look for him to be picked up very early in offseason.

So where is the proof Kareem lied other than Clark covering his ass against the Twitterverse? Exactly. None.

The Chiefs put out multi paragraph press releases when they cut the five thousandth pick of the draft from saint marys school of the blind but three sentences on Kareem.

Reality is the league told Clark that Hunt was suspended for the season and Clark decided to give Kareem the axe

The fact that Kareem won’t start in the playoffs isn’t Clark’s fault, it’s the NFL. Clark weighed cost/benefits of keeping Kareem on roster to return in 2019 and Clark just said “f*** it” and cut him

Was your reaction worth throwing your career away over?

"Juss keeping it real, dawg"?

You ALWAYS have a choice to walk away.

"But she called me the n-word, dawg."

And you excercised your physical dominance over a drunken 19 year old girl.

Good for you, Kareem. Hope it was worth your ****ing career.

Pure CYA. Rain Man and Blowfish win this entire thread.

Ok, recap....Complaint filed for pushing, shoving, and kicking. Hunt denies (aka lies) this to his employer. Video surfaces showing he lied. He gets canned. It’s a business, anyone in any position that works for a legitimate company gets the ax for this. Seems pretty cut and dry.

This organization just gave the middle finger to its players. Good luck signing free agents.

Wow it sounds like Kareem’s career is in legit jeopardy.

last person to be on the commissioners excempt list was Ray Rice. He was a viable running back. Top 10 at least. He never played another down in the NFL.

I don't (nor will I ever) tweet, but I am curious - have any of our players reacted to this publicly yet?

Yep. I work in an industry where we try to keep Harvey as a friend but he is Springer level shit. None of us trust him. Look at it this way - the Planet has been melting down tonight like it did 15 years ago when Kyle was running the site on a Commodore 64 (j/k Kyle) Harvey’s servers are built for this shit. Guess how much he is making on this story even after paying a source for that tape?
