With the new pussiness in calling for snow-I am pushing for more e-learning days. It is either that or class on June 15th.

I thought humidity was bad in the midwest until I went to Florida... hell, even in Atlanta one spring, nice 50-60 degree March/April weather completely ruined by the humidity.... not to mention the summer.

Overall, I didn't really mind KC weather until I moved here, even if it can be the worst of both, like you said.... then I moved and realized how much more often it's sunny for days/weeks at a time and how much more often I'm outside.

I couldn't ever live in the southeast, and hopefully won't ever live in the midwest again.

I have to be moved out of my house by next Tuesday....

I remember when I moved from KC to Houston everyone was telling me how bad the humidity was down there. My response was that it was every bit as bad up here. I was partly right partly wrong. As far as how humid it gets it can easily be just as bad here. As for how many months of the year you deal with it here as opposed to down there, well I didn’t consider that.

I feel like the only thing that is happy during winter are the dogs. My brother just sent me a photo of his husky in Chicago burying his dog toys in the snow. Winter is my least favorite of all the season.

We have had about a quarter of an inch of snow in the past hour here on Strawberry Hill (extreme eastern KCK).

I grew up with reubens. Originally mom made them with shredded corned beef, shredded Swiss cheese and thousand island dressing all mixed together on Jewish seedless rye. When I’d order it when we went out and everything was sliced and layered I figured the restaurants were just being lazy (and using marbled rye for presentation). She eventually started making it the correct way (with the bread choice staying the same, which I still believe is the best bread to use).

I had band rehearsal last night. Started at 6 and was just starting to snow, by 7:45 the roads were all snow packed. Took me about 45 minutes or so to take Metcalf from 159th to Shawnee Mission Pkwy

Watched him slide right through a red light, he was lucky there was no cross traffic. A friend of mine's sister is still in the ICU from a car accident last Saturday.

Had about 7 inches in the Hutchinson area. Snowpacked single-lane at 30 mph. In 50 miles, had to stop for at least a dozen vehicles for slide-offs and jackknifed semis.

So it local weather station is predicting significant snowfall here on Saturday. Yet every app and website I have looked at says rain ending in light snow with little accumulation. Can't wait to see which source is right.

I noticed the same thing. Somebody posted one on Facebook calling for quite a bit of snow, but I don't see anything but rain until close to midnight.

Yeah I saw fox4kc this morning talking about it. They said it will be a narrow band affecting only a couple counties. Went on to say possibly 8 inches dependent on were it tracks.
