As a fan...I wanted KC to nab a stud RB at #32. I didn't think they would do it but next season will be entertaining..
This guy is perfect for Reid's offense.... |

Now, this virus needs to GTFO so we can repeat!
|
36% of his plays were either first downs or TDs? The ****? Lol
|
Anyone on the fence about this pick just needs to watch this vid. The perfect fit.

I thought of Sanders when watching his highlights too ....seemed to have that 6th sense on where defenders inertia was carrying them. That cant be taught... I think he's going to be a star...especially in this offense. |
Reid and Veach seemed pretty ecstatic when the pick went in. Who knows, this may be the guy they were after all along. Super pumped about this kid!

Reminds me of Westbrook, not Holmes. Perfect for what Reid does.
|
He seems like a very sweet human being!
|
If this guy is the back Kareem was with Mahomes, and he lasts 5 years, we should all get our knee pads out and open our mouth for Veach
|
This is really the only video you need to watch. You don't even need to listen to the narration.
Just watch this kids feet. On every one of these plays. Watch his ****ing feet. Hell, look at this run @ 2:18 LMAO LMAO LMAO Look at the quickness. It's ridiculous. If you watch only one play, watch his feet on that ****ing play. ELITE. Swift can't do that. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/xO9KlH09PC4" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
this is a fine pick after watching some videos (extensive research, I know).
RB was a concern during the regular season, not during the playoffs though as we all know Damien Williams stepped the **** up in the playoffs and Superbowl. But the regular season it was kind of a dumpster fire for a lot of it. There's nothing wrong with taking a RB with the last pick in the 1st round and he's going to make some plays for us. |

Guy seems to fit the RBbC with his number of touches per game. Liked that he had only 2 fumbles all year only losing one of those.

If anybody wants a good laugh, go into the draft forum and visit the pinned “Prospect visits” thread and click on Clyde Edward Helaire’s link in the original post. It will take you to a scouting report done by the Draft Network.
I think Jake F or frozenchief wrote the scouting report.... |

Great pick. Yeah, his weakness is pass protection. So what. Mahomes had 14 regular season games last year and only 17 sacks.
Your offense just went from “stupid good” to “best ever?” so enjoy it. |

So Andy Reid, Brett Veach, Eric Bieniemy, and Dave Toub all loved this kid and wanted him bad?
What the **** do they know about football? |
Three things that stand out:
1) Very productive numbers (both running and receiving) 2) Never fumbles 3) Very hard to tackle |

Frozenchief and haven't taken the same position at all. I was the first person to say something positive about CEH after he was drafted. Check the draft thread. I haven't slammed anything. I've been fair and balanced in my discussion of the pick. I realize some people have to be 100% YAH or 100% Boo, but maybe you should try just talking about stuff. Maybe you'll enjoy it. |
My first reaction; why offense???? Oh wait not an OL, Ok. Again I say; WHY OFFENSE????
Then I watch some film. And I say; Looks good.... did we really need a RB? And then I remember the chiefs signed shady, mid season, and shady didn’t play the post season. Sooooooooooo, yeah, Andy wants another RB. Now I’m fully in the camp of RB isn’t a bad pick.... |

He is a non lying version of Kareem Hunt.. those who love Priest Holmes will see a similar type of runner.. its an Andy fit. He wasnt going to be there when we picked in the 2nd.. the back they wanted.

I know some people are upset, and some people are happy.
But, to those who are upset, I have to ask, WTF? This isn't a franchise that just randomly picked some dude, or picked a default defensive lineman, like they have been in the past. This is a franchise that just won the freaking Super Bowl with a QB they traded up to get, with a defensive lineman who they drafted, who is arguably the second best D-linemen in football, with a WR they drafted, all being huge contributors to the Super Bowl win. If they think a RB from National Champion LSU is the pick to make, great. After the last 2 years why would we even question the pick? If your team won the Super Bowl, and is returning 20 of 22 starters, and you have the best QB on the planet, why even worry about it? Sent from my GM1915 using Tapatalk |

When I first brought up going RB in Round 1, many people thought I was nuts. I argued for weeks and saw several come around to the idea but there were a lot that did not. In the end, the Chiefs drafted an immediate impact player that makes this team better immediately. This offense is going to be insane. |

Reid never picked a RB in the first round ever but guess what he’s not running the show anymore. That’s BRETT MOTHER****ING VEACH!!!
|
I like this pick.
The reason: Drafting well is a balancing act between addressing your team's needs and taking the best guy available. Did we have several positions of need? Sure. We could have used an LB; 4 of those were gone by our pick. We could have used a CB; 6 of those were gone by our pick. I could go on. RB was also a position of need. Was it as big a need as some of the others? Of course not. However, everyone in the draft at that position was still available to us. That's why the pick makes sense to me. I like what I'm seeing of the tape I see of CEH. I also find it interesting that we went with him as opposed to guys that many of the draft gurus liked better like Taylor, Swift, or Dobbins. Makes me think that maybe Andy and Brett saw something there that others didn't. The result won't be anywhere near the level of the Mahomes pick, of course, but... Looking forward to seeing him in action. |
****ing looks like Kareem.

I’m going out on a limb here. He will be ROY next season
|
He’s like Kareem mixed with Alvin Kamara.
|
His routes out of the backfield are special. That's a HUGE deal in this offense.

His forty brothers me a bit. But Hunt also ran in the 4.6's so... we good.
He's a flat out dual threat weapon and he can learn from D Will. Our RB's were running mighty thin late last season. CEH will be a big time player for us. |

Reid and Belichick have both taken a RB late in the 1st recently. It’s clearly not stupid... |
He looks like he belongs on the field.
