what's the over/under on how many games until he bails on his team?
TB12 tried to fix him, he's done well with AB. Gordon has had some serious mental health issues in the past I hope he can somehow stay the course. |

Posted this 9/15 in the "Josh Gordan Suspended Again" thread:
"Legalize MJ Federally and force the NFL to pay Josh Gordon reparations for ruining his career over some BS! Josh doesn't seem like an addict but someone using MJ to medicate for mental health reasons, it's a far safer substitute than prescription pills and clearly wasn't affecting his performance. I think it's a ****ing shame the way the NFL has ruined his career and slandered his name." Happy to see Andy giving him a shot! Guy is only 30 years old! Sure, he's built differently mentally than others, but that shouldn't be our concern. We're a football team and this guys a perfect fit for what we need right now. He can fill the role that Sammy left behind, comes cheap, and has huge upside. |

2) Dave Toub gets a few toys on the roster every year. Item 1 doesn't bother me much but I'm rapidly losing patience with item 2. If Toub is as good a ST coordinator as is claimed, he shouldn't need 10% of the roster allocated specifically to ST players to thrive. |
Honestly a bit surprised at this signing.
Not like he's going to play that much. Especially at first. |

But if he wanted to leave, he wouldn't have signed here initially. He chose KC for a reason. |
Powers that be must feel the wheels are off. It kind of smells of desperation.
We can't stop anyone on D so let's get more offense. |
Might as well sign Richard Sherman at this point

Who ever plays opposite of Tyreek and Kelce should be FEASTING and we have yet to see that with any of our WR's, really. Watkins included. |

Yea they're admitting they suck at WR, no way around that.

So stop acting like because weed is legal Gordon isn't a risk for a relapse because he definitely is. Hopefully this time he stays clean though. It's certainly possible. https://empireboobookitty.com/what-d...osh-gordon-on/ |
With Gordon signed, CEH will go off!!!

Well bye demarcus robinson.

He will be suspended by week eight.

1)You’ll be here talking shit the first 5-6 weeks, then you fade the **** out because your team does exactly that. 2) chances are you’ll be back in prison getting your daily pounding before the playoffs begin anyway. Enjoy your very short lived time, dumb**** Faders fan. When KC beats the Faders again (as usual) isgrudengoneyet.com will have a server meltdown. |

I'm not sure why people are calling this a desperation move I've read a lot of posts stating we need a number 2 receiver. Veach tried to sign several receivers in the off season to be number 2. As so many have put it this is a low cost high reward signing.
|
If Brady can do this with Antonio Brown, so can Mahomes/KC with Gordon. You gotta give Veach credit for at least trying to fix various problems with the roster.

Mahomes provides leadership for our guys but he isn't a drug counselor. End of day Chiefs will do best they can with Gordon but he's going to have to really want this and work hard in his off time to stay clean to make it work. Lets hope everything works out! |
He can show Powell the ropes.

We could sign him to the active roster if he was interested. And why wouldn't he be? |
Keep him out of Westport.

I get the guy is a physical specimen but, I may be totally wrong here, but playing WR in the Andy Reidcoast Offense requires its receivers to adapt their routes pre-snap based on defensive coverage?
Hasn't that aspect of the Chiefs offense required some time for players to adjust to? |
Quote:
|
1. Good for them.
2. We don't need to see any more games where Tyreek is double covered for the entire game. We need a big physical WR opposite of him. 3. Its not desperation as much as it is about being cheap. And if he's going to figure it out somewhere, it will be with Andy Reid and Mahomes. 4. I was surprised how much FA wideouts went for on the open market last offseason. We need to draft one and sign one. |

Everyone is basically going, beat us with long methodical drives where you have to lean on your RB and secondary receivers. Until those guys start having big games it's not gonna stop. |

But what he should be able to pick up quickly is the improv type of plays. He's got the experience for that. If he can give the Chiefs about 90% of Sammy's improv abilities it should be worth it. |

We straight up ****ed up the draft at WR.
The last 3 drafts we've been in position to draft DK Metcalf, Terry McLaurin, Tee Higgins and Terrace Marshall. What we have to show for those picks is Hardman, Thornhill, Helaire and Bolton. |
Just put him on the field and let him run clear out routes. Work Tyreek underneath and let him go YAC on people. If they keep doubling Tyreek, throw it deep to Flash. Profit.
Should be that easy, right? |

A RB on a shittty blocking team, even if a really good RB, doesn't help a lot because they still have to run through big burly men to produce. A WR has to get open and catch, and everything in the modern rulebook facilitates that. They aren't dependent on how good the lines are or the defense, or anything other than their skill and their connection with the QB. |

Seattle seemed interested
@gbellseattle: GM John Schneider on #Seahawks radio pregame show asked about team possible re-signing Josh Gordon: "Obviously, he's somebody who's great in Seattle." Says after his reinstatement becomes official "we'd like to get rollin' with him." |

Meantime, maybe puts some urgency in the Chiefs developing a young WR. Hardman and Robinson have a role in this offense. But Kemp and Pringle ain't it. If Cornell powell isn't next in line they need to keep rotating bodies until they find one. Feel like Sunday was a last look at Pringle and he didn't pass the test. |
How does this dude keep getting chances?
I'm not expecting a damn thing. I was burned last year by Le'veon Bell and my heart needs time to heal. |

I guess there's some added risk that he actually does produce right away, the Chiefs say holy shit, we've fixed the problem! ...and then he runs into more problems before they really need him, and they can't trade for option B at that point.
But, that assumes there are other decent options out there to choose from and they would actually pull the trigger on those options.... or else, meh, guess we'll see. |
Mr. Josh Gordon if you could do what Eddie Kennison did here in Kansas City; you’re good in my books.
