ESPN reported Jones as out on TUESDAY. |

Sucks we are without our best DT (potentially), LB, and CB (Ward has been excellent; need Hughes to play up like he did against the faid). :( Hopefully their trash OTs get worked by Ingram and Clark, freeing Nadi and Reed to wreck the middle of the OL. We need to pressure w/o blitzing. Take away the deep pass...give them a taste of what other teams have been doing to us. Offense MUST ball out tonight. |

Can Jackson Mahomes play RT as punishment?

Jones and Gay out is really ****ing bad. That's brutal.
|
“Well…JR, the Chargers just received the opening kick and Chris Jones is nowhere to be found. I guess he won’t be playing tonight despite never being ruled out.”
“Yeah, I tell ya, King, that is a big BIG loss for the Kansas City Ch…” *Sound of Glass Breaking* *I Won’t Do What You Tell Me Plays* *Rattlesnakes on the Titantron* “Bah Gawd…That’s Chris Jones’s music!!! Stone Cold’s here! He’s here!” *Jones walks out, stuns the ref, sacks Herbert, pops a few beers for the fans* |

Student body left, student body right! Three yards and a cloud of dust! Only 3 things can happen when you throw the ball, two of which are bad! |
This feels like a 400+ yards 5 TD type game for Mahomes.

This is the most I've ever hated the Chargers. I've never even categorized them as in the same division as us with Donkos and Faiders but they have been the more relevant and biggest rival we've face under the Reid Veach administration. **** the Chargers

And even if Jones is out, I still expect a more productive DL unit this game.
The Chargers are not at full strength there, and the Chiefs will add Frank Clark and Melvin Ingram to the rotation, and Jarran Reed has begun to play well/flash. Hopefully those 3 can hold things together if Jones doesn't get that second negative test. I feel like he HAD to have gotten a negative test yesterday, or they would have already ruled him out. If they can, I think the pass rush can make Herbert move enough to take pressure off the secondary. |

Chiefs turned the ball over 4 times and lost on a last second TD earlier this season. KC is playing better and LA has been very inconsistent.
We should win by 10. 30-20 Chiefs. |

Make them move the ball 10 plays at a time. Make them be patient and see if they actually can. They lead the league in drops. |

Here’s the snap counts and percentages from last game: Reed: 43 68% Jones: 39 62% Ingram: 37 59% Clark: 36 57% Wharton: 27 43% Okafor: 26 41% Danna: 26 41% Nnadi: 18 29% That also makes me feel better about being down a body on a short week. |

Let’s find out early! Tyreek deep. Kelce over the middle with the quick shimmy. Make him really run and really cut. He’ll find out pretty quick if he’s really ready. |

But we'll see. I hope they try to matchup 1-on-1 with him because he'll destroy that. |

If Derwood isn’t himself, then the Chargers are in trouble. |

This is projected to be the highest-scoring game of the week with the O/U currently at 53.5.
Next closest is 47.5 |

His official designation, according to NFL rules, is that he's in the COVID protocols. He is NOT on the injury/inactive list. At least not yet. |
He's out. If he wasn't or even remotely possibly playing it would be news.

Quote:
You're wrong. |
NFL using Covid to script the season. Biggest game of the year and Jones and Gay won't play. They want LA to succeed and help them get more fans so they want them to win the div.

WTF? We will know when he is OUT, he is in the protocol NOW. |

Just heard on the radio that Andy is 17-2 when facing a team for the second time in a season after 2015….one loss on a two point conversion at the end of the game and when we played 2nd and 3rd teamers at the end of last season.. Both losses to the Chargers but I’m willing to bet on Andy and Mahomes..
|
Win tonight and that one seed is looking a lot more likely...
Colts are 2.5 point favorites over the Patriots right now. |

On KC sports talk radio, the vibe seems to be that he is out. |
All 27 Charger fans will be bitterly disappointed in tonights result, they'll be begging for Bobby Hebert to take over from Herbert
