He isnt going to rework his deal to get paid less than he is worth. They can extend him but then the expensive years will line up with hill if he gets an extension this year too. |
This sounds good, let’s get all the good players. That’s what should happen.
Easy to afford them, just switch all their positions to punter and then release them. Their ratings will all drop to like 12 overall so the rest of the league won’t even notice them. Then we can re-sign them for league minimum. Switch them back to their regular positions and their ratings go back to normal. Boom. Done. At least that’s how I always did it when I was a GM. |

Because he can just get a completely new contract with more guaranteed money as a top tier free agent wide receiver. |

Looks like he’s being traded to the Browns…

What a robbery for Cleveland…yeesh…

That value says a lot…

If they get Watson they’ll be significantly better than last year

Browns have had 1 of the better rosters the last few years. Shows you how bad Baker is

Christian Kirk is apparently going to get $15M AAV. Cooper’s contract is a steal. Great love for them if they can get Watson

Lol they’re not getting Watson. He’s going to be a Seahawk, and if not it’ll be Philly or Carolina. They’ll trade him out of the conference to either of those teams with a higher draft pick.

We’re going to get Juju and you’re all going to flip.

lol too bad he’s gonna have Baker throwing to him
or well, trying to throw to him |

I’d gladly take juju
Are we against that? I haven’t been around much lately |

Why would the Browns trade for him and waste a 5th when the Cowgirls were just going to let him go anyway? Truly amazing how dumb some league GMs are.

It’s a 5th round pick
A lottery ticket |

That’s dumb

I haven't seen anybody here bring up the TikTok stuff when it comes to juju in the FA/off season threads. Much less the majority. Pretty sure the majority of people would like the move

They may release Landry now
Would definitely take him here |
And just to clarify. I don’t mean the majority hate him because of TikTok. I think the majority don’t want him

@AdamSchefter: On the same day they agreed to trade for WR Amari Cooper, the Browns also have granted permission to veteran WR Jarvis Landry to see a trade, per sources.

Landry would have to be cheap.

His body is clearly beginning to break down now that he’s approaching 30. |

I'm probably misremembering. |

Landry would be real nice for what we need. I’d love to have him. Says he has started 14 or more games 6 years in a row until last year when he had 12.
I’m down for that if they release him |

Oof. 16M cap hit. Trading isn't going to happen without a pre-agreed upon restructure.

Cooper will probably work for the Browns about as well as the OBJ trade did for them… if Baker Mayfield remains their QB.
|
At this point Jarvis has not played much playoff football with a great QB. He’s going to get released and I don’t think we need much convincing to get him here. He’s 29 and has been in Cleveland for years.
Come on in to KC Jarvis for a fair deal. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Reported this yesterday, but worth reiterating after Amari Cooper trade: <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Browns?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#Browns</a> highly likely to release Jarvis Landry, whose cap hit is $16.6M in 2022.<br><br>League sources say the 5x Pro Bowler will still have plenty of suitors as a FA, inc the <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Pats?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#Pats</a>, <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Chiefs?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#Chiefs</a>, <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Titans?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#Titans</a> and <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Jets?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#Jets</a>.</p>— Jordan Schultz (@Schultz_Report) <a href="https://twitter.com/Schultz_Report/status/1502731423568039942?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">March 12, 2022</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> |

Shouldn’t be a hard decision for Landry. |

Cooper obviously was never going to restructure his contract. He just wanted a team that’ll pay it. He’s not trying to chase a ring. He sees how OBJ progresses after leaving and not Landry is on the outs. Just securing the bag is all.
|
Landry has declined the last few years & JuJu had only averaged 8.6 a catch
|
I definitely don’t want Landry.
