Just noticed the Portland bench jumping up and down as he shoots too.

Bulls went down 35-16 in the first quarter and ended up absolutely crushing the Celtics tonight. Celtics went from a 95% chance to win in the first quarter to pulling their starters with 5 minutes left in the game. A tremendous turnaround.

Bane got his shot going tonight for the Grizzlies. Bane, Morant, Irving, and Durant all had close to 40 points tonight. Was a fun game to watch. So much offensive talent on display.

You can HEAR the crowd shouting "noooooo!" as he shoots.

Just ****ing release the guy and be done with it. He ain't gonna hit anything but he's not gonna stop shooting it. He can't play defense and won't pass. The only way to succeed with him on the floor is to simply ice him out and play 4 on 5.

This is just amazing.

The Lakers are bad. So why the **** are people talking about them?

Nobody gave a shit about the Timberwolves because they reside in the middle of Bum**** USA and had literally nothing interesting about them. It's hilarious to shit on LeBron, it's hilarious to shit on the pieces he's surrounded himself with (especially Westbrick and Street Clothes) and it's hilarious to shit on the Lakers in general.

Sassy Squatch 10-25-2022 06:27 AM

I mean, I guess we can retroactively go back and laugh at the fact Jimmy Butler was right about pretty much every single aspect of that franchise and why he ****ed right off when he did.

dirk digler 10-25-2022 07:29 AM

After 3-4 games I am revising my pick about the Nets. They won't get to the Finals and maybe even win a playoff series if they don't get a rebounding big man.

The wolves were benignly and forgettably bad.

This Lakers team is aggressively and caustically terrible.

The former is just doing a poor job of trying to win. The latter is doing a spectacular job of trying to lose.

Sassy Squatch 10-25-2022 04:41 PM

So we can go ahead and write off Zion permanently, yeah? Can't even play a solid 5 games worth of basketball without ****ing up his back and hip.

Pretty hard to win in the playoffs if you don't guard at all. The Nets don't.

Ingram would quite possibly be the most underrated player in basketball if he could figure out his 3-point shooting. Not sure what happened last year, but expect him to shoot it much better this year. He's a really poor man's KD.

Definitely worth a trip if you’ve never been. One of the few arenas that pretty much always sells out. I would think the New Orleans game would be a fun matchup to watch.

The UC is cool if only for seeing the Bulls banners hanging on one side and the Blackhawks hanging on the other. You know that building has seen some shit.

The immediate surrounding area is booty but its only a few blocks from Fulton Market and few more blocks from Wicker Park which have plenty to do pre/post game.

Thompson thinks he's one of the superstars in the league because for 6 years he was one of the NBA's most efficient scorers while also being an elite perimeter defender.

He had two major injuries and got older. He's not the player he once was. But for a relatively long period of time he was playing at a superstar level. He's about 70% likely to make the HoF someday. While I think I agree that he's not a top 75 all-time player, He's REAL close to the top 100, if not right inside it.

Warriors play team BB and feed off each other. Seems they have a core that has stuck together winning championships and have added pieces here and there over the years. That core has been Curry, Thompson, and Green. While Green has played an important part in that role I'm not sure he's hall of fame worthy. This core is like a Jordan, Pippen, and Rodman type setup.

KD could be considered part of that core for a bit but he hasn't done much outside the Warriors.

He was universally seen as an extreme overdraft and now it's, somehow, worse than that. A very strange Spurs miss.

Somehow, this Pacers team is really fun to watch. Love the youthful energy and skill. Matherin and Haliburton are a crazy good backcourt.

Might see if someone would trade you a pack of socks for Hield, though.

Kyrie just couldn't let the Lakers get all the headlines this year.

While I think I agree that he's not a top 75 all-time player, He's REAL close to the top 100, if not right inside it.

Klay showing off his rings to Devin Booker who has proven to be a more productive scorer in this league than Klay has ever been would be the equivalent of Sammy Watkins telling Calvin Johnson he’s a better receiver than he was. Klay’s best season doesn’t come close to Book’s production. He isn’t even close to the superstar level that Booker is on.

Klay peaked years ago as a borderline superstar. He’s never even been the go to guy on his own team. 6 years of productive basketball mixed in with the rest of his career filled with injuries and depleted production somehow equals a 70% chance of being a HOFer? Get the **** of here with that nonsense. ROFL

In fairness - Kyrie won that round.

He addressed the initial question in a thoughtful and well reasoned way. Then the reporter wanted to try to trap him and Kyrie called him on his bullshit.

Kyrie isn't the villain in that clip at all.

Grizzlies getting their asses kicked tonight in Utah. Lauri Markkanen is having an incredible start to the season. He’ll definitely be a fan favorite for the Jazz. Looks like an upgrade over Bogdanovic already. They’re definitely one of the major early surprises to me. They’ve got some good pieces in place with absolutely no expectations.

No, he's just an idiot that thinks being a contrarian is equivalent to having intelligence. I've lost count on how many times this guy has actively tried to make himself a story over the past few years. He's going to end up in LA next year too, which should prove even more hilarious.

I don’t know that it’s sustainable, but they definitely aren’t the easy win to circle on the schedule like everyone thought before the season started. They’ve got some really good shooters in Markkanen and Malik Beasley and Conley and Clarkson are good veteran guards that can definitely control the games. Memphis just came out with no energy and couldn’t make a free throw to save their lives tonight. I think they thought they would coast having Ja back tonight since they only lost by 1 with him out on Saturday. They came out flat and got their asses kicked that’s for sure.

Sounds like the plan is to replace him with Udoka.

I'm not understanding the Warriors philosophy right now. They say they don't really care much about the regular season (just enough to want a home court advantage 1st series) but aren't letting the young guys get any real playing time. And they're still losing. Might as well take their lumps early and get some development going with some extended playing time for the yunguns.

Maybe there's not but I feel like there's still a chance he ends up there before the season ends.

Difficult to see the Lakers trading any assets for him right now considering they are gonna miss the playoffs easily, but they've done dumber moves than that (see Westbrook).

Steph needs help from somebody there. Klay and Draymond are complete shells of their former selves. Wiggins and Poole need to play better (or they need the other young guys to play and step up).

They were stupid to let Payton walk. He was the spark plug for that defense. They can’t defend anyone this year.

Using PER as the standard and 15 PER as average, the Warriors have 5 players above average.

Steph at 26.72
Wiseman (what!?!) 18.54
Wiggins 16.86
Poole 16.68
Looney 15.21

Buzbee Law Firm has filed a lawsuit against Primo and the #Spurs claiming that Hillary Cauthen lost her "dream job" because the Spurs "ignored her repeated reports of indecent exposure on the part of Primo."

Lawsuit states that "at least 2 other incidents of exposure have occurred involving Primo (one apparently in Nevada and one in Minnesota).

Cauthen made her first report about Primo's conduct to Spurs management in Jan. 2022, according to the lawsuit.

Cauthen lawsuit was filed this morning in Bexar County 45th District Court.

Buzbee says a criminal complaint against Primo will be filed for multiple counts of indecent exposure. He did specify where it will be filed.

Lawsuit alleges Primo exposed his genitals nine times to Cauthen during "individual private sessions" despite her numerous complaints about Primo's improper sexual conduct to the organization's leadership.

Yeah..maybe. He is not going to get any kind of contract from any team at this rate and maybe out the league. He is just not worth the head ache.

POND_OF_RED 11-03-2022 07:45 PM

Thought for sure the Warriors could get their first road victory tonight in Orlando, but they might be in more trouble than I thought. Steph was unstoppable down the stretch and decided to let Klay take the last shot for some reason. I know he’s trying to get his other guys going, but that was a bad decision. Wiggins had an exceptionally terrible missed layup followed by losing his man for a wide open 3 on the other end of the court. Looks like the real Wiggins came back this year for sure.

NBA made sure to suspend Kyrie on the day that a team is getting sued for a player showing his junk to women staffers and another player is in court for domestic violence.

If he wants to play again for the Nets, he's either going to have to apologize or admit that he posted something he had never watched or understood (which is pretty clearly what happened here). His stubborn pride and apparent need to come off as an intellectual will prevent him from doing either.

I bet this ends with the NBAPA filing a grievance on his behalf for that money he stands to lose this year.

I don’t see another team picking him up either unless he apologizes or admits he screwed up as you said. I also agreed he’s not likely to do either given his history.
