NOODLE arm tua isn't slicing the ball through the cold and wind in Arrowhead in January.

But I watched Alex Smith defeat Super Bowl winners in the regular season with a stout defense and a wealth of offensive weapons.

Tua still has to prove it to me. On a cold, January day with refs who are swallowing their whistles, can he trade blow for blow against Mahomes, Allen or Lamar?

If he does, he'll have earned it. But we've watched many QB's falter when the lights are brightest in Tua's spot.

He has done it at the college level in a national title game. Time will tell for him at the pro level. Right now he's doing very well in the regular season, leading the QBR stat & passer rating stat. Of course it helps that he has played 4 pretty bad defenses in a row (Steelers, Lions, Bears, Browns). They have a 5th one in a row next weekend against the Texans.

I want to see him do it in the cold, too. Agreed with you about the defenses he's played.

We'll find out a lot about Miami with their remaining schedule.

One thing I do feel they have going for them is that they're playing extremely loose which is in stark contrast to the Bills right now.

Even scarier is that KC was a poor Mahomes INT, missed FG, and very questionable unsportsmanlike conduct penalty from being undefeated.

Especially when they play San Fran AND buffalo, where you’d have to think tua will have to play in the weather. We will see how that accuracy looks.

I’ll give him this. It is pretty remarkable even still what he’s doing with that noodle arm. He’s way better at throwing to the right spots than I expected. Not just wide open wrs but also just finding soft spots. But it’s especially remarkable because he still has a noodle arm. It’s awkward watching him throw to the outside even just a little off balance. I wonder if he’ll start to see a lot more man coverage once the wind starts to pick up and he’s moonball won’t be nearly as accurate.

You can't really trust Allen on a play like that, he starts moving around and that's that.

Sad part is turning on Allen after how much he has elevated them. They should be very grateful for having the 2nd best in the game.

BossChief 11-15-2022 12:50 AM

Allen is Phillip Rivers that can run and has a stronger arm. Is fun to watch, but is kinda stupid with his decision making snd he’s not great when the pressure is on.

Once he loses his ability to run with it for big yards, he’s going to turn into Russel Wilson.

COchief 11-15-2022 12:05 PM

I was worried about JA challenging PM15 for a minute, after yesterday I am convinced he is an idiot that is going to hero ball his way to a short Cam career. All that scrambling/running with an arm injury in the regular season is stupid. The Bills scared me a little bit in the early season, can't wait to see them in the playoffs now.

Josh is what he is at this point.

Bl00dyBizkitz 11-15-2022 12:21 PM

Id be careful writing off Josh Allen this early. Dude is still elite, a few games of poor red zone decision making doesn't change that I don't think.

I do think however that his hero ball attitude runninh into big hits is gonna get him knocked out way earlier than he realizes.

Exactly. Mahomes had a stretch of poor games last year. It happens to the best of em. Allen will return to being the second best quarterback in the conference soon. And then he’ll get sent home by the Grim Reaper again in January.

Yep. Allen had a slump in the middle of last year, but he dug himself out of it by the time January rolled around. He was awesome in the playoffs.

Yeah, he has that elite gear in him that can carry a team like Buffalo over the hump.

He's been Favre esque in the sum of this year. We'll see if that continues or he figures it out like Mahomes did in the second part of last year.

Small sample size of 2 games.

1st game Patriots scheme, Daboll dialed up Air Raid overs over and over and over and Belichick refused to budge.

Easy game.

2nd game KC had no legit safeties playing and Spags went vanilla.

Another easy game.

I remember the last few minutes of the Bills Chiefs playoff game being a scoring fest and Allen doing just fine holding up his end.

The narrative could be a lot different if Bills had won the toss...

Allen held his own against DBs who were laying on the turf. Meanwhile, Mahomes won the game against the #1 defense in the NFL.

gold_and_red 11-15-2022 01:45 PM

I have never seen a QB get this much hype when his biggest accomplishment is losing the only AFCCG he has been to.
QBs have always been evaluated based on some combination of stats and playoff success. Herbert and Allen are held to a different standard.

Hammock Parties 11-15-2022 02:39 PM

YES!!! YES!!!!!

The Bills Have a QB Problem

Quote:

Josh Allen is THE reason the Bills are considered a legitimate Super Bowl contender, and Josh Allen will be THE reason they don’t even get there, much less win it.

HE is THE cause for the Bills three loses this year. You can try and blame other players….the coaches….the play calling….even the massive amount of injuries.

But none of those come close to the damage Josh Allen has done, almost single handedly to prevent what should be a 9-0 record.

Miami game, he inexplicably threw a one hop pass on 4th down and goal at the Fins’ 2 yard line. A sure go ahead TD.

Against Green Bay, he tried his best to hand the game to the Packers...thankfully, the inept Packers just were too stinky to take advantage of Josh massive mistakes.

The Jets game, he correctly said that he “..played like ****”.

The Minny game, the loss was almost ALL on Josh. THREE ****ING TURNOVERS in the second half.

TWO TERRIBLE INT’s, not only in the Red zone, but IN the Vikings END ZONE. Both of them inexcusable for a QB who is supposed to be one of the best in the NFL.

Earlier this year, a thread was started….

Mahomes has the easiest job in NFL history, and Allen’s still better……which was filled of hubris and nonsense (unfortunately all the posts were lost) with the thread starter flatly stating that (paraphrasing)….

‘Josh Allen is better than Mahomes and it’s not even close’

After too many idiots saying that Mahomes would regress after losing Tyreek Hill, what has REALLY happened is that Mahomes has shown WHY he is considered the best QB in the NFL, and with Allen’s recent regression to his rookie year mistakes, the reverse is true.

Mahomes is the best QB in the league over Allen, and it’s not even close.

Right now, the biggest obstacle to the Bills being the outright best team in the NFL in both performance and record, is JOSH ALLEN.

I have always been an extreme optimist for the Bills….and I still am when I predict they will go on a six-game winning streak and go into Cincy in week #17 with a 12-3 record.

But, so sad to say, the reality is that THE reason that may not happen is Josh Allen and that needs to be said.

Hammock Parties 11-15-2022 09:42 PM

Panic is setting in LMAO

Quote:

If this game ends up being played in a blizzard we are screwed. It will be Josh Allen trying to run all over the place and the Browns putting up 350+ yards on the ground.

Hammock Parties 11-24-2022 10:51 PM

Quote:

A ****ty half against the Packers?

It's an outlyer.

A loss to the Jets?

It's a warning sign.

Fumble a win away at home?

It's a bad trend.

Get picked apart by Brissett and Goff?

This team is a first round playoff exit.

This is because Mahomes early success brought a lot of people rooting for someone else.... anyone else.

It's really the same reason I ****ing hate Tom Brady and never want to watch him in the playoffs again. It's time for someone new.

Sources: #Bills star pass-rusher Von Miller did not tear his ACL. There is concern about his lateral meniscus, tho. He’s out at least a week or 10 days while he figures it out. He’ll have surgery — the question is now or after the season. This is all following the MRI today.

I hate Brady not because he wins but because he is a proven cheater and is somehow not blacklisted from the NFL, in fact the NFL celebrates him and seems to go out of its way to prop him up.

He won't be near as effective if he waits to have post-season surgery that is for sure. ;) I've had this tear and it is painful. Different grades of tears but maybe his is only a 1 or 2. Mine was a 3 and very painful. Even if it is just a 1 or 2 it will be in his head for sure and won't be near as aggressive I assure you. He is in his early thirties now and will be thinking twice about being aggressive.
