I figured it was pretty much logic that the moment Toney stepped foot on the field, still on his rookie deal with years to go, being the same game Mecole goes on “IR” over an injury that Andy can’t even lie about being nonsense. Mecole is gonna be a free agent and this is a business decision for Mecole.

My bad, we just chalk it up as coincidence that Toney’s first game was Mecole’s last. It’s not like Mecole is on social media or anything seeing all the praise Toney gets. I heard from reliable sources that the real reason Mecole isn't playing is because Andy caught him stealing ham sammiches from the coach's fridge and benched him for the remainder of the season.

Hence the reason they traded for Toney. Toney doesn't like ham sammiches, he's more of a turkey guy.

Matter of fact, i wouldn't be surprised at all if the Chiefs only draft "turkey" guys from here on out.

I heard Reid offered Mecole some ribs Toneys mom had cooked for him and Mecole declined and said "I watched I put in my body unlike you fat boy" and patted Reid on the stomach. Ever since then he's been on Toneys and Reid's bad side and been benched.

I heard that Mecole wants to stay a Chief so bad that he benched himself for the remainder of the season to ensure no team tries to offer him a contract that the Chiefs won't match.

He told Reid and Veach to trade for Toney. It was all part of the plan. If you think about it, it totally makes sense.

Wasn't Mecole practicing then stopped. Like a re injury? Seems like they know hes not going but want him available and not on the IR for the run if he is good to go. If you put him on IR what is the benefit? Kaindoh on the active roster instead?

Mecole's already stated that he's trying to get back on the field, Andy has been pretty certain that Mecole wants to play, but just isn't responding to treatment the way the training staff would like, so i don't get all the conspiracy BS. Andy will understate things, but he's not in the habit of outright lying. Plus, Andy's said that Mecole wanted to go a week or two ago, but the staff and the WR coach thought he'd better rest instead.

I don't think Andy is shady enough to just make that up. I think if Mecole was pulling some sort of stunt, Andy would treat it similar to how he treated the Shady McCoy thing; he'd basically not answer questions about it.

Mecole is brilliantly lowering his market value by missing the 2nd half of what was on track to be his best statistical season in order to......do what? That's good business.
