The Gals are a very good team held back by a substandard O line. Now they say they have fixed the offensive line but if fatso starts at LT it ain't fixed. Move him to RT or try at guard sign an elderly Donovan Smith. Then maybe have your QB survive the regular season.

My son, at 32, still drinks water and only has a soda about once a week, and that is usually when we have tacos for dinner.
My daughter always drank water when young....she never really had a desire to drink sodas. She loved lemonade and that was her drink of choice when not drinking water. Now she still drinks water with her meals but mostly because sodas/tea are so silly priced at restaurants. Her only vice.....she has to have a specialty coffee in the AM to wake up. |
People telling us about their kids drinking or not drinking water has to be one of the weirder tangents I've seen.
|
Yea best to make sure that your kids only drink water and don't move onto the harder stuff. I remember back when I was nine and took my first hit of coke. I was never the same again. Completely hooked. Ruined my life that did. Let my suffering be a lesson.

So, water amiright?

A good majority of this board lives in Kansas, Missouri, Iowa and Nebraska.
Should we be the ones throwing stones about living in Ohio? Lol |
Skyline Chili is fair game, though.
That shit looks gross. |

My kids only drink bourbon unless I make my famous ghost pepper chili. Then they drink milk.

I’m definitely not complaining about fish and chips. I’m guessing they don’t call them french fries because they hated the French.

English food is the equivalent of sidewalk vomit. Indian cow dung tastes better in comparison. No wonder the english have such horrible dental genes. They have been eating worse than shit their entire existence.

There's literally nothing going on like in the OP. "bad vibes" lulz. No. 1. The Chase contract will get done and he'll contribute like an elite recever. He's been at practice mentoring WRs all camp (laughing and having a good time) and going to the bubble after practice with coaches for workouts and shit. 2. Tee is 95% gone but that was expected with how they held on to him when they could have traded him for a haul last year. He's been working his ass off this camp to get a big payday from someone next year. It's the Jesse Bates sitch all over again, but the Bengals are better equipped at the WR position than they were at the S position last year. 3. Burrow is fine. If he gets hurt again, it will be because he's injury prone, not because his hand falls off. If he's healthy, they're a SB contender. 4. The defense will be better. Von Bell back and paired with the FA from Balt Geno Stone. Reports are, they clicked from the beginning and Von was the missing piece last year. Communication was atrocious along with tackling. Those won't be issues this year. The defense will be better. The IDL is wait and see but they have a couple guys that are at least average. 5. Losing Joe Mixon wasn't really a "loss" because Zack Moss and Chase Brown will produce like Mixon and Perine did in '21 and '22. I'm looking forward to the start of the season. You just worry about beating the Ravens Thursday and giving us a leg up early. |

He's 4-1 against the Bengals when Burrow started the game. 1 win Burrows rookie year with a bad team. 1 win by 2 pts in Balt when he played RB and they kicked a FG at the gun. 1 win by 3 pts in Cinci in game 2 last year while Burrow was gimpy. 1 win when Burrow started and went out at the half (with the lead) with the wrist in jury. And 1 loss when the Bengals beat their ass in Balt in '21 by 24 pts when both teams were healthy. |

I’m one of those who doesn’t want to see Burrow hurt again. I’ll enjoy him failing while healthy much more than another excuse year of an injury.

Practice Week 1 has begun and Chase is still holding out.

The Bengals are back to practice today as they begin prep for their Week 1 opener vs the Patriots. I bet they announce the new Chase deal on Thursday night, just a couple minutes after kickoff for the Chiefs & Ravens game.
|
Chase is getting at minimum $35 mill per, which, including home alone kid's annual salary, ties up roughly 39% of the overall team cap. Surely numbers can be spread around but you get the general idea that the bungholes are soon approaching faulked territory.

I still say there no way in hell he doesn't play against us. New deal or no new deal his hate for us will win out. He will play.
|
You are closer to the Browns than the Chiefs
|
I don't know why the Bengals don't just trade Chase for picks. The Chiefs have shown the league that it doesn't pay to give any one player too big of a piece of the pie. That said, I think the cap is going to explode and all of these big contracts will be meaningless.

I almost guarantee Chase sits out week 1 because he’s sure they can beat the Pats without him. But then he shows up against us. That’s what I’d do if I were him.

He’s trying to stake his claim. He has huge ego for the right reasons. I guarantee you he’s described the Pats as “trash.” I seriously doubt Chase is a team first guy. We’ll know who’s right soon enough. |
I hadn't noticed this before, but the Ravens have Lamar, the Bengals have Ja'marr, the Bills have Damar. All of our main foils in the conference are marred.
|
They'll pay him.
All other star WR's in the league are getting paid. It's not the same as when we let Hill go, the cap has climbed and will climb dramatically enough to accommodate the new contract levels. Cap growing exponentially! |
Quote:
How does that make him a 'me first' guy? He put in that work so he would be ready to play in that game. I get that Chiefs fans don't like his attitude but the dude loves to be around the team and play ball. Anyone can make the argument that if he was a team first guy, he should have been practicing the entire time, since he still has two years left on his rookie deal. The people making those claims are always people who aren't elite athletes, competing against each other for not only stats and "who's the best?", but also competing to the be the highest paid. "We" would all 'handle it better' except for the fact we'll never get the chance to prove it. |
