Listening to GMF this morning they say the Falcons are #32 in pressuring the QB through the first two games and the Chiefs are #31.

Simmons and Bates have had a few big games against Pat.

Most definitely. But thankfully there's opportunity to attack everywhere else on that defense.

And if you do that right, I bet we can hit em overtop a time or two down the sidelines.

Red Dawg 09-21-2024 09:18 AM

You won't win every game. Mot that I think this one is a loss. Hardly the sky is falling if they happen to lose.

pugsnotdrugs19 09-21-2024 09:19 AM

I think it's more likely we'd lose next week than this one. However, Herbert's injury helps matters.

Fascinating enough was hearing Chris Long talk about this approach a few days ago and he said it actually can be hard on DEs because they can't get as good a feel for how to attack.

Wow thats a pretty unorthodox tactic, not one we usually employ... weird

BWillie 09-21-2024 09:21 AM

All of this time we thought the Ravens and Bengal game was going to be good. I don't know if those teams are as good as they were in recent years. @Atlanta, @Chargers, and vs The Hot Saints may all be tougher games.

You need to think outside the box.

I kind of love it. Competition is good almost always.

:)

Tim Grunhard mentioned Marcus Allen on air yesterday. Said Marcus was a master of chipping pass rushers. He said Allen would get them in the ribs really good and they’d be looking for him the rest of the game. Kept them off balance. Grunhard also said the coaches obviously had a plan to chip pass rushers & help the left tackle last week, but the execution from the players involved was not good. Time to crack some ribs. :)

I don’t see it with the Chargers.

Those receivers don’t scare me for a second. McDuffie will eliminate McConkey. Watson and Williams can handle Johnston. They also have the least talent at TE that we’ve seen so far.

Dobbins seems like he found the fountain of youth, but I feel better playing him after a few weeks where he won’t be a surprise to us.

You mean to tell me you aren't impressed they beat the mighty Panthers and Raiders?

Yeah, I don’t remember Andy ever doing that in a game. The willingness to try new things is a very attractive part of his coaching style. And it really helps that the players embrace that approach. We should all mail Jeff Lurie a few bucks every year to show our appreciation. ;)

It's just the divisional thing. They've given us all we can handle even under Staley.

I don't see them as a top-12 team just yet, but they'll be ready to give us all they got.

FAU

What a nonsense stat.

We've been pressuring the **** out of QBs

FAU

That can't be accurate.

The Chiefs regularly destroyed the Ravens and Bengals interior.

There's a reason both QBs had to flush out so frequently.

We'll see....we have a really hard time with opponents TEs so far this year.

Easy 6 09-21-2024 04:59 PM

Cogan isn't wrong, Pitts was supposed to be the love child of Kellen Winslow and Travis Kelce... but it turns out not so much
