Last time Bert got a kicker off of a practice squad, it turned out pretty well. Maybe this will too.

I am sure they are aware of his college stats. Let's not act like we have idiots running the team like other teams. Then again there may not have been much to choose from.

First time he got injured was on that shitty Arizona turf that the Eagles still won't stop bitching about.

Then he has a weird OOB kickoff to end the last game.

Ooh, I hadn't thought about that last kickoff. Any chance that he caught a cleat in the turf on that play, or that he was already hurt?

irafreak 11-15-2024 09:47 AM

That's a lot of potential points left on the field. Have to hope we don't need him until he gets plenty of reps on the repaired leg. Tough season...but we just keep winning so....

He’s 6’2” and over 200.

Profiles similarly to Buttkicker. Unlike those 2 Matts from the 2022 season.

OK, so we need to score touchdowns and hope for the best.

This is going to be predictable. lol. For those that don’t know: “CREW” is a left wing organization associated with the Clintons. (See David Brock. Time magazine: “One of the most influential political operatives in the Democratic party.”) They target conservative politicians and conservative public figures. Their leaders are huge anti-Trumper‘s. Don’t let the org’s name fool you. They get big funding from Soros groups. Not trying to be political here, just illuminating the facts.

Not exactly. Says it spent $100 on office supplies and the rest on fundraising.

Lots of nonprofits spend a portion of their funds on fundraising, but not 90%.

It’s really not that exciting.

You could explain it that he hired a bunch of fundraising companies to help him raise money, they barely raised anything, and everything went to them.

It’s bad business rather than something nefarious.

Great take. Appears that partisans are trying to defame Butker & discourage others from making public comments that they disagree with. Will be interesting to see where this story lands with local media if the propaganda has legs. Trying to be non-political, but this thread might be destined for DC. Hoping Butker is back to form when the post-season starts. Go Chiefs!

Makes sense. If he was actually grifting folks out of their money he probably wouldn't have dumped nearly all of what he raised into fundraising. If anything he may have been taken advantage of a bit by bad actors.

I just can't imagine Butker being THAT stupid; the contracts explicitly spell out how much they'll take for expenses. Otherwise, he can sue them. But, perhaps he is. Of course, I also can't imagine anyone being stupid enough to send him money. Ultimately, though, it's difficult to feel too sorry for those reeruns, as I can't imagine what they thought was actually going to happen with their money.

Yeah we are going to need him. Wright doesn't have a big leg. And it appears he succumbs to pressure. Almost missed a chip shot in a big moment.

Our Hall of Fame kicker is a part of all of this.

jerryaldini 12-08-2024 11:33 PM

What's the latest timeline? We were so fortunate tonight we finally needed one of these guys to make a long one and he hit it. He's hit two game winners.

But we could really use Butker against the Steelers because that's probably a field goal game in cold weather.

If we win the next two games and the Bills drop one to Detroit, the Steelers game probably doesn't even matter.

I'd keep resting Butker as long as possible and maybe bring him back in week 18 for some practice.
