Dunerdr 12-21-2024 11:13 PM

This is still a dumb idea. Actually more dumb now that hollywoods getting integrated and Mahomes looks better than he has.

BigRedChief 12-21-2024 11:15 PM

We go all out, playoff mode upon Pitt’s head. Then they can rest their bodies from a long season.

I think Juju was a cut down casualty just before the season started. We signed him before the Baltimore game.

Didn't read through the whole thread so I'm not sure if this has been mentioned. But with all of the opinions about rest/play em, both Andy and Spags repeated cheers after the game in the locker room for "winning one more game." Sounds like the team is committed to winning the 1 seed ASAP.

I didn't know the kid from Stranger Things was in the Front Office.

Hammock Parties 12-21-2024 11:29 PM

Boy, that clip. NEVER seen that much confidence from this team since Tyreek left.

They act like they got nukes and nobody else does.

Regime 12-21-2024 11:31 PM

**** no

2nd that isn’t in Andy Reid or Pats DNA. Let’s get the W on Christmas!

ChiefGator 12-21-2024 11:41 PM

Beat the Steelers and you get 23 or 24 days rest... that is plenty.

As they should be. It's one game away. Go get it.

chiefzilla1501 12-22-2024 06:59 AM

There's no way youre gonna get mahomes and Kelce to lay down for a game that exceeds being a primetime game

Spott 12-22-2024 07:18 AM

The only way they do that is if the Bills somehow lose to the Pats today giving us the 1 seed.

displacedinMN 12-22-2024 08:08 AM

I dont think anyone on this team ever wants to sit out a game. Winning does that.

PHOG 12-22-2024 08:52 AM

Go to Pittsburgh and show them who's boss, and then rest as needed.

DCTwister 12-22-2024 09:05 AM

Simply zero % chance they rest starters vs Steelers unless Bills lose today, then ~100%. It would be too risky and a big ****-you to the Broncos, who will already be properly motivated in the last game anyway. No need to give them extra motivation.

4th and Long 12-22-2024 09:08 AM

Sit your starters? 1 game away from from wrapping it up? On Christmas day no less?

That is not how this team delivers Christmas presents. :shake:

Uh...let's not discuss what this team's history on Christmas day is lol.

KC will roll up in there as ready to go as possible, knowing that they're playing to lock up much needed rest, instant advancement to the divisional round, and 0 post season travel until the Superbowl.

Derrick Henry ran right over these guys for 162 yards. The run opportunities will be there, we can shorten the game, do what we do and log another one score victory into the ridiculous streak we're on.

Steelers appear to be reeling.

Finish this on Christmas. Double bye.

Make the Ravens the 3, so we also avoid either the Bills or Ravens.

Couldn’t ask for more.

We came out of the Texans game relatively unscathed. We're coming off a good team win, too. Keep this shit rolling, end it in Pittsburgh.

And the Steelers didn't play very good. Way too short of a week to put in stuff to fix all their issues. HFA will be achieved on Christmas.

True, unless the Bills lay an egg today.

Yup.

If Watt doesn't play they don't win.

We have the biggest nuke, Mahomes.

Winning all those close games will also give a team so much confidence :thumb:

FlaChief58 12-22-2024 04:51 PM

If the pats pull the upset, then absolutely rest the starters.

BigChiefTN 12-22-2024 06:16 PM

That's a ridiculous thought ....For many many reasons.

BigChiefTN 12-22-2024 06:18 PM

There is not one thing logical about that....

chiefzilla1501 12-22-2024 07:20 PM

Pats gave that game away. Multiple fumbles that fell back into their hands, multiple pats fumbles that went into the bills hands.

Not that I as a chiefs fan can complain given all the breaks we’ve gotten

Bump 12-22-2024 07:22 PM

nope beat the Steelers, clinch #1 seed and then they have 2 weeks off.

Lzen 12-22-2024 08:57 PM

This thread is still reeruned.

That would be 3.5 weeks off, not a chance Mahomes and the veterans are playing at Denver the following week.

ThyKingdomCome15 12-22-2024 09:52 PM

We'll go full throttle against the Steelers and sit the starters against DEN. What's strange is DEN may be locked in to the seven seed and rest their starters as well. What a boring game that will be lol.

Denver can get the one seed?
