Yea, but the quality out there is still amazing...

I'm a bit surprised that we've taken more inside linebackers than outside linebackers.

I think that would only be surprising depending on how many 3-4 teams we are going to have..considering that if there was a vast majority of 4-3 teams than MLB is more important to the team while the 3-4 OLB will be more important

I guess I tend to think of rushing linebackers being a more impactful position in the modern game, though I nod to the legends of the great middle linebackers. And of course there are more OLB positions if some teams run a 4-3.

I realize too that we know of at least one case (Abraham) of getting DEs that they're hoping to line up as rush linebackers, too.

Well, uhhhh... just looking at that list, I know who would be on my top 5 per position... lemme know if you need a guest picker. Lots of freaking talent out there still.

Would you want to take over the Memphis Malt Liquor? I think beach tribe is dropping out.

Is this just a draft thing or some long-term deal... I'm in if it's just a one-time draft deal. Unless someone wants to take over after I draft the team.

It's a long-term thing, but it's really low-key after the first year. This is the heavy lifting year where we:

- draft veterans
- draft coaches
- draft rookies

There won't be any work to do once the season starts, and then next year it'll just be a matter of rookie drafts and free agent drafts.

But you're welcome to just draft for them and then we can find someone else to take the team permanently.

I'd be interested in pulling a Parcells... buy the groceries, start the dinner and then let someone else run it.

Cool. You're in.

Beach tribe, if you want to take the team back once the season begins, you can.

Cool, so I need to make a R4 pick right?

Rain Man 05-06-2009 06:13 PM

Oh, you're welcome to move/rename the team if you like, though we'll keep it in the same division.
