It's been a day since the repocalypse. The horrors I have seen are worse than any man should be made to witness. The once-mighty have been reduced to mere withered husks of their former selves; the once-reviled have seized the opportunity to rise to the top amid the chaos and tears.

It is not wise to walk outside at night. Desperate men will slit your throat for just a little taste of rep. If you are unable to find shelter by twilight, you might as well curl up into a ball and wait to be torn limb from limb by a ravenous band of rep-hungry land-pirates. This new world is Darwinian in the most unpleasant sense.

As for myself, I have not yet succumbed to the animalistic savagery that has laid claim to the minds of many men I once admired. I have tried to remain composed, calm -- or as calm as one can be in times like this. I scavenge for rep wherever I can find it. If I can find even a small scrap of it in the corner of some old abandoned thread, I consider it to be a victory. My hope is to find a group of like-minded posters willing to help one another survive and, perhaps, build a new society. Until then, I wander alone.

I had a disturbing dream last night. In the dream, everything seemed normal. The repocalypse had not yet happened, and I was discussing some trivial matter with some vaguely familiar usernames. I checked my rep and noticed a single red square. All of a sudden, I became overwhelmed with frenzied anger and tracked down the person who had left the rep, finding out where he worked and emailing a detailed log of every inappropriate comment he had ever made to his supervisor. I then woke up in a cold sweat, barely able to breathe.

I can only hope it was not a sign of what's to come...
