Great points in every sentence Marty Mac.

We had this discussion on here a while back, but if you do sign Manning, how much of that could be made back by parking, ticket, and merchandise sales?

might be the biggest reason for hope.

1. The Hunts like to consider themselves NFL royalty

2. The Hunts REALLY,REALLY like money

Yup. you've pretty much summed it up in the most simplistic way possible. KC gives him the best shot at winning. And it gives him the freedom to take charge and be the leader that this town desperately needs.

Now the question is does he give a damn about winning? Or would he rather just stay warm and collect a fat paycheck?

O.city 03-06-2012 09:24 PM

If you sign Manning, all those luxury boxes that Clark collects the money from fill up, instantly.

Every company in KC is gonna be in on those and will want to make some donations.

Yep. The ROI on signing Manning would be HUGE.

Peyton loves the black man!

My god, do you realize how many Johnson County fans will re-purchase season tickets? Add $5 to parking, who cares. People will pay it to see a legend play 2 preseason games, 8 regular season games and 3-4 playoff games. Jersey sales, increased ad revenue from local sponsors who ARE DYING FOR A LEGITIMATE REASON TO SUPPORT THE CHIEFS ONCE AGAIN....giving Peyton $20 mill is a drop in the bucket compared to the money that can be made on the back end.

kcxiv 03-06-2012 09:26 PM

Imagine the press at the first game the Chiefs play at home. lol The City the team would generate alot of money. Its really stupid if you do NOT go aggressively after Peyton.

That is true. Clark has to be seeing $ with this potential move. Season tickets would sell out faster than you can say "cut that meat!"

You know? If Elway needs a way outta tebow-land that isn't going to get him hammered by Joe fan this is probably the way to have.

Who could blame him for choosing a healthy Manning and dealing Tebow somewhere else? Win win.

Any win for the donks is a lose in my book, so I hope it doesn't happen that way.

Manning wont make his decision about money. He'll evaluate coaching staffs and look for someone like he had in Tony Dungy. Romeo fits that bill better than Philben, Shanahan or Carroll.

The darkhorse is Arizona. Peyton and Ken Whisenhunt golf frequently in pro am's and an off-season outings. AZ's system has a little bit of Indy's scheme embedded deep within. And Manning would love to play catch with Fitzgerald.

Kansas City, however, has a more complete offense with depth at the receiver position, a promising TE cut in the mold of Dallas Clark, a great running back and a helluva defense.

Clark needs to make the move and the Chiefs will be at the epicenter of the NFL. There will be so much collateral revenue generated from this one signing its absurd.

Lacanfora said the Chiefs could be in it as well. He said we arent married to Matt Cassel. He said Denver could also get into it. THere are many teams that are interested. ITs whats right for Peyton Manning.

kcxiv 03-06-2012 09:32 PM

This is a Chiefs move. This is what the Chiefs do! we sign other qb's. lol
Its like, ok we go with Cassel. Stadium half empty, no one is enthused about the team. We will be average to crappy again. OR Peyton Manning. Stadium ALWAYS full, Fans really really really ****ing excited.

Its a Glass full or a Glass thats almost empty. lol
