I think the tough question here is...

Does THIS team beat the Bills with 13 seconds left on the clock without Hill?

Doubtful. So...

Are we actually better than we were previously or just a deeper team?

I mean the answer is no, but does this team make Gabriel Davis look like Randy Moss? Maybe, but I'm pretty hopeful not. If Chenal is as good against the run as advertised, does this team let Allen run for a million 4th and shorts? Again, maybe, but I'm hoping not.

If a decent number of rookies can contribute to a high level then I'd expect a tight game with Buffalo because we'll lost the explosive point scoring but limit the same from them. If some of them bust or take awhile to get up to speed, which is not unreasonable, then they're probably favourites.

I'm pretty hopeful things pan out from the rookies but we'll just have to see.

With Sorensen, Neiman, and others upgraded. Do the single hump ones get the opportunity?

The question should be "Why did the D allow the Bills to get so close we needed 13 seconds?" As it stands right now, no doubt the team is deeper than in 2021. Sure, there are still weak spots and you can't deny Hill being in Miami is a loss. But football is a team sport and we're definitely a better team. Once again, PMII is the engine that drives this train, not Hill.

Patrick saved Hill from himself on more than one occasion

I think the idea is that this team wouldn't have needed 13 seconds to beat The Bills.

How much cap space will we have after...?

1) Signing our draft class.

2) Signing Ingram.

3) Extending Orlando Brown Jr.

Every team has rookies that contribute and start right away. Every super bowl team. It happens all the time.

You're just scaring yourself.

Mathieu going out in the first quarter was a big reason for that.

Seems like a great argument against the 'stars and scrubs' roster construction.

Did you watch the regular season game where they kicked our ass with Mathieu?

good point, and one I was about to make.

When you think about it, both the Bengals, who beat us twice, and The Bills (who should've beaten us twice except Mahomes went GOD MODE for 13 seconds) were better than KC.

It was clearly time to adapt, make changes, or be left behind.

It means we wouldn’t have needed that miracle because wouldn’t have blown so many plays on D.

The Bills were clearly the best team in the league last year, better all-around roster than us, no doubt. Disagree on the Bengals. We gave both games away -- they are not a better team.

Yeah the changes were definitely needed the defensive line was complete shit. I'm not sure how much better it will be overall next year but I think moving forward this team will be in a good position.
